Great to see this here today. ApeLad knows how to pack a punchline.

Just for the record, the teachers voice is not just a trombone, but a trombone using a plunger mute: that is a toilet plunger held over the bell, opened closed to create the "Wah" sounds. Preferably a plunger that's never been used in a toilet.

I just bought one shirt for my brother but want to buy another one for me at a different address and it won't let me. It says this account has already bought one....

What am I supposed to do?

Limit one order, up to three, on debut day.

So either order it tomorrow at its regular price, or sign up another account with a different email address and payment method.

You're not sick . . .
I am a speech-language pathologist and I bought one for myself

You do realize that all of us talking about trombone plunger mutes, etc., are in on the Peanuts reference... right?

As a trombonist, I could not resist this one. You have no idea how many jokes circle around this in the music programs at colleges and high schools. Great job!

Thanks! I'm glad. I have yet to receive one angry letter. Maybe once school starts.

In the old days of 3000 prints per run, this would have been a sellout! Congratulations!

joshualder wrote:I've played trombone for 20 years, and the teacher's hands are in an odd position. The bell should be bigger and a bit farther from her head, the slide should be much longer, and the grip seems reversed, though it's tough to tell because of the silhouette (the slide is used with the thumb and middle and index fingers on the slide bar, not the edge of the slide). And the omission of the MUTE is almost too much. Without the mute, you don't get the "womp womp womp" sound, which is the whole point.

It's a cool design and concept... but trombonists will have a hard time not nitpicking it.

I'm a teacher and a former trombonist from my school band days. I love this shirt! It's my first shirt.woot!!

That's probably because your gaming controller has rendered the complainy folks unable to write anymore.

Which was probably your plot all along, wasn't it? GAH! Are you trying to take over the world now?!

Besides, the mute used isn't commonly known (as seen by the guesses above), so I can't really fault the artist for omitting it.

I believe the technical term is tromboner.

I just bought 3 of this shirt, one each for my best friend, my mom, and myself. I can't wait to surprise them with this fun little for-no-reason gift!

That's what I thought too. Maybe it would've looked odd/added confusion but that is how the sound would be made. Otherwise,I like the humor.

So I bought two of the Peanuts/trombone T shirts last week. They both came in on Friday, and I wore one of them (a 2XL) for the first time today. As I was wearing it around the house, one of the threads on the sleeve started coming undone, and by the end of the day, without me doing anything with it, it is literally unraveling about halfway up the sleeve. I'm very disappointed, as I am a music teacher, and a trombone player, and this shirt is right up my alley, but now I can't even wear it to school!!!!

I'm very disappointed! What's the policy for defective products?
