I don't envy this mail carrier. Those dogwood breeds are ruthless. Plus all that lost mail will put him in serious hot water.

I hope you like this one!

Nice work Ramyb, love how Scooby is investigating Blue's paw prints...GMV

A) I never said I "hated" the shirt. I just think that several of the dog references are not clear enough to make me want to buy it and I was explaining my position while trying to get some clarification. It's just too much Brian...maybe if some of the more obvious choices were front and center I'd be more inclined to get behind it.

B) When I comment on something I know is going to get a reaction (which is very rare; I don't typically argue with people online) I like to see where it goes.

And that's the last I'll say.

There you go! Now the "second" joke is much more clear, with the addition of the skull - and I do like that you kept it subtle.

And I love his little paws. I'd pet him, but I need all my limbs.

Oh good, I think that subtle hydrant shape was a good choice. I love how expressive you've made each individual dog. I hope this does well for you, because you clearly put a lot of work and thought into it.

P.S. when do we play "name that breed"? I mean, it would be crushing if there were no shiba inu, but the fella between the greyhound & the Boston Terrier (at least, I think that's what it is) seems too tall.

Re: The Days Are Just Packed

A homage to Bill Watterson's iconic duo with a little extra adventure.

I contemplated whether to do this design in the style of Calvin and Hobbes knowing Mr. Watterson stance on commercializing his personal creations.

So I decided, if you guys like this design enough to get it printed, I'll donate all my earnings to a Parkinson's Disease foundation of choice. Mr. Watterson created a work of art recently to raise funds for the cause. Hopefully Mr. Watterson would approve of this use of his style.

If you guys have any suggestions on how to improve the design I'd love feedback.

endangeredomega wrote:As pop-culture shirts go, this is really beautifully done. However, something about that ear is bothering me. It just seems ... off, somehow?

agreed! thanks for the critique- i didnt play with it as much as i shouldve but i think this is a reasonable breakdown of ear weirdness... there should be more shading of the darkest gray around the area of the head next to the ear, and the black doesnt go up to the edge, theres a white area around it. i dont think thats true of real dogs but snoopy is that way so i figured it would be a decent feature to allude to. also the way a dogs ears perk up tend to be more like if the ear itself was flipped as if to face forward but i wanted to fake some sort of relaxedness/wind or something and did a mediocre job of it. typically beagles have that brown area too, but since snoopy doesnt i didnt put it in. ultimately he looks like my real life dalmatian which isnt what i wanted so i tried to make the ears floppier. not the best job admittedly but im proud of the end result.
