Re: Singing with the coyotes - resub

The original was way too dark.

Thanks to a design tip posted in the communities, I knew to try outlining. So here it is again.

Re: Wrong Stick

Playing fetch on the beach can be loads of fun, but what do you do when your dog comes back with the wrong stick - say for instance the peg leg of a pirate - with the pirate still attached?

6 colors on sky blue
30 LPI linear halftones
30 LPI dot halftones
30 LPI custom pebbled halftones

This took much longer than I wanted it to. I hope everyone enjoys! Comments and suggestions are welcome.

The only thing that can save us from the corgi apocalypse now is the Queen Mother.

Very cute and fun!

Re: Serious Habits Die Hard

This is by far one of the best uses of color in this derby! Tre Excellent!

Given the title and the derby theme, this is obviously a reference to Sirious Black, but the pose and the hat keep making me think cat and McGonagall.

That's my exact thought, and is the very reason I'm voting and likely purchasing this shirt. It fits so well with that one. I'll likely make it a pair to wear across a single day at the conventions I attend.

Re: Guardian of the Underworld

The only "problem" I have with the design is that it looks like the first dog on the left has a much shorter neck than the other two.

Re: MASTER?

Great concept, once again flawlessly drawn. A little history of 'Nipper', the RCA Victor pup who was the model for the ad 'His Master's Voice'.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nipper

Note the original ad showed an Edison cylinder player. Well researched, Midgerock! Authenticity ftw.

Re: The Days Are Just Packed

Yes, I was leaning more heavily towards the Adventure Time side because I didn't want to just slap Calvin and Hobbes face on a different color palette.

But I guess if the two are mashed up to the point that either one's unidentifiable it defeats the purpose of the idea.

Obviously, you do not know your Greek mythology to understand how off you are in thinking these are related. This is a drawing of Ceberus, a three-headed dog that guards the gates of the underworld....not three dogs howling at the moon.

Re: Dog Park

I'm pretty sure that mystery pooch in the back is Snoopy. Note the philosophical sky-gazing and what looks suspiciously like sunshades on his face.

I actually really like this one. Voted.

The snoopy one is not being debated... it's the one laying next to clifford.

I agree with the "astro" folk.

blk909 - does you adblocker do that with all entries,
or is this one somehow the unlucky one?

p.s.

Here is a Larger Image of the design, if you like that kind of thing.

I hate wearing light blue shirts, mostly.

But I would still wear this. Ridiculously awesome, fun concept, and amazing art (I am so in love with that tail!)

I love the concept, but would suggest adding a bit of shadow to the dog to make it look like it isn't flat against the shirt. The dog itself is adorable. ^^ Great idea!
