Not only is print not dead, but it can take you places that a e-reader never could--like space.

Awesome! I was so hoping this one would make the cut. Though, sheesh, woot loves books on shirts... maybe it's like dead trees, because woot also love trees on shirts. Oh who cares, YAY. =D

I JUST realized that the books are in the shape of a rocketship.

BTW, I really love whatever brush was used on the navy blue background. Awesome. It's so hard to get that kind of effect.

The problems with ships like this are that they totally burn up on reentry, and book burnings are never a good idea.

This is a lot better than I remembered it in the original derby! The planets in the background are really superb.

I have a kindle and i love it. i've read more in the year i've had it than the previous 6 years i've been out of college. it's one of the best purchases i've ever made

although i have to believe that if you couldnt be bothered to read/pick up a book before, an e-reader is not going to make you a reader.

insta-buy, btw. i'll buy most book related shirts.

Nice choice for sure, but I'll stick with my original comment for the derby it was originally entered in: Navy would seem the obvious choice since that's the actual background color, but silver it is. Still one of the best designs in this particular derby.

Colors, style, sense of adventure...almost everything you need packed into a shirt, complete w/ clues about what to add for the full effect. Excellent design + choice.

Hurrah! I have voted for this shirt both times it's been in a Derby (Books and Double-Take). Nice to see it finally get the print it deserves.

Collection of Louis L'amour novels won't have battery problems, and if they get wet I can use blow dryer and not worry about a short out.

But to each their own I guess...

I know! That was just tragic. I've been going to Borders my whole life. I developed my whole love of reading in Borders. My mom and my stepdad even met in Borders! I tell ya, these times, they are a-changin'.

I like a lot of shirts. I'm not really sure why that's always such a shock. People don't care about things if they don't like anything to do with it.

It's especially nice to see a shirt ostensibly about books that actually looks like someone literate did it. That is VERY rarely the case.

It was a "shock" because it was a near snark-less compliment with almost no direct side-swiping of other people. This is the rarity of which I refer to. Ah well, I didn't think that it would last that long. Don't worry though, you're improving. ;)

Did you express that as a snarky somewhat-compliment for irony?

What, me?

(I do sarcasm as well, but usually I favor the impassioned plea. I was feeling a little punchy tonight so decided to let a little of both out to play.)
