Re: Line Dried SHIRT

You're lucky that the derby was the perfect theme for this! Maybe this design inspired them to make the derby theme, you never know...

grahamcrackercoyote wrote:I'd love to keep goats, but I think the City of Whittier has trouble with livestock

Aw shucks Goats are cute!! At a festival there was this this 'goat race' (which was basically a bunch of cute goats running all over the place while their owners tried to coax them to cross the finish line), but afterwards got to pet them and talk to their owners and they seemed like some very sweet animals.

Nekkochan wrote:Given that cats are traditionally the ones afraid of the vacuum cleaner, I'm confused as to why we now have two shirts (that I've seen) showing cats chasing dogs with the vacuum. I would think it would be the other way around. Where's the sneaky dog preparing to give the snotty cat a big surprise?

Not that this isn't cute, I'm just wondering.

my dog runs as fast as she can away from the vacuum. my cat doesn't give two The Day the Ponies Come Back (2000).

Looks like a kitchen dish towel to me, they aren't all white. I think it's totally appropriate.

this is a play off the old "guy in a chair" memorex ad campaign and a motion controlled video game controller...

it does have a video game reference, but i felt it was within the leniency provided by tgentry in the derby discussion... guess we'll see...

comments of all stripes, always welcome...

I apologize, I shouldn't have used the word "hate", that was not really the feeling I was trying to express. It's just that the halftones are too open for my taste.

crazydoglady wrote:And finally, how did a design so far off the theme move so fast up the ranks? I used to think the implied accusations were just sour grapes, but now I have to wonder...

How is this off theme? I know that some people, mainly people that live in the city, only consider indoor chores to be household chores. As someone that grew up on a farm, I can tell you that household chores encompass a lot more than that, including but not limited to mowing the lawn, feeding the animals, cleaning the animals, raking the yard, trimming the hedges, weeding the garden, etc.

As far as conspiracy theories go, if Ramyb was just artificially voting for his own designs, then they would not sell as well as other designs. If you go and check the numbers you will see that Ramyb's shirts regularly sell out and stay in the reckoning for extended periods of time.

I've taken to viewing the shirts by either random or submission date in order to avoid looking at a shirt just because it's popular. This was one of the designed I liked a lot without even knowing it was a ramyb and I really like it. Good job!
