It doesn't really matter, it's a terrible design. Let's say it is grass, why would mowing over the same area make the color lighter?
no, you'd end up with a grid, for sure, but not some gingham-esque pattern.

There are several designs I like and would consider buying. But this is one I would definitely buy. I find it amusing and its totally my roommate. He would wear this with pride.

Those who are letting this shirt upset them may possibly have a deep underlying emotional trauma they may want to consider seeing a professional about...

i told a friend of mine about this the other day and he thought it was hilarious. and then i mentioned to him that it was out of the fog so i might not be able to buy it and he just started laughing so much again thinking about the shirt, and he hasn't even seen it. so good. you should get it printed somewhere with the title on the shirt, its way funnier.

How beautiful! I personally believe this represents the theme exactly. When I used to do yardwork, I'd always have a moment when I would look up and realize how beautiful our world is. This shirt makes chores look not-so-bad, which is a refreshing changeup from other entries!! (-:

Mowing in different directions causes the grass to bend in directions as well. Light reflection from the different bends creates the pattern. You see this effect all the time if you watch baseball. Here is a link to a random example:

Yes, I certainly do see a sexual metaphor, but the colors, shading and perspective add a sense of foreboding, too. I feel afraid for that woman. Who is that man watching her, hidden in the shade of the fruit trees? Am I the only one a bit creeped out by the imagery?

The artwork is gorgeous, though.
