Re: The Jungle Dance
Why are the zebras smiling?
vwclogan wrote:your getting a little redundant in your design.
same idea, diff colors.
I think you missed the point of this shirt. Not the same idea at all.
Graffiti style Tiger , 5 colors on slate , hope you like it , thanks!
Re: Sunset Serenade
Thanks so much, PixelPants and xazothia! I intended the background to not be taken too literally, it's a bit fanciful and suggests a yin-yang balance and the passing of time from day to night. Glad you can kinda see where I'm coming from there. :^)
Re: S is for Safari
lol , so good man , galletas de animalitos!! , haha +1
I like the colors here!
papercaged wrote:Really cute, I love the colors.
I was going to say the exact same thing.
Who needs Africa when we have all the animals right here in this box? Quick there's a rhino... SNACKSHOT!
Even though the bird is inside, it didn't really seem like the zebra ate it, to me. It seemed more like artistic license on the symbiotic relationship zebras have with those little birds. I love it!
I felt the same way... I really love the idea, but I think maybe it wouldn't have been so jarring if it were like, in a candy jungle or something, rather than just a truck on the continent.
Also, now I want some of those cookies.
Thank you all for the kind and wonderful comments... it was a fun design to work on and I'm glad it's been so well received!
I must admit, some inspiration was provided courtesy of Boots & Kevlar's The Right to Remain Awesome, which I've been rocking quite frequently.
Nekkochan wrote:I'm perplexed. The only African animal I can think of that adopts that kind of upright posture of the 2nd animal behind the bug, is the meerkat, but I wasn't aware meerkats hunted anything but bugs, arachnids, and sometimes snakes. So I don't know why a meerkat would be licking its chops over another mammal, and I don't know what that mammal is - given the cartoony style I suppose it could be just about any member of the rodent family.
Then again, maybe the fact that the elephant is stalking a hunting male lion is meant to convince us that the actual behaviors of real animals aren't meant to be depicted... It is a very cute shirt, I love the expressions on the faces.
Ohhh, I was wondering about that tongue... I thought it was a teardrop.
This design is super cute, though.
I thought I was getting tired of cookie monster, too, but when I saw this, I realized I was wrong. This is awesome! I would definitely buy it. Very clever and cute.
Re: Main Attraction
Oooooh, pretty. +1
Wow. Most awesome shirt EVER.
You are a cartoon master!
The classic, usual suspects. GMV
There are so many great designs in this derby! But mostly what I'm taking away from it: animal/human hybrid type creatures freak me out.
Just keep rolling them out. hahaha +1
Great cartoons. clever idea!
Great detail. +1
Rockn' colors. I dig it.
Even though I now know the moon is wrong... I think I like it better wrong. It just looks better with the music notes coming out of the crescent like that.
Re: A Rough Ride
Simple and so efective! I love it!
Wow wow wow! Top work here!
Really amazing! Instant +1

I just felt like doing something a little less cute. Needless to say it took a bit longer.
a little LESS cute? Really? Oh face it Coffey...cuteness is part of your DNA! haha
I wanted to try something with stuffed animals and on the cuddly side. I really enjoyed working on this one.
I suppose this is still rated G, and it'll complement this old Ramy shirt ... GMV.
Re: Another losing season.
For far too many seasons these Lions fans have been ashamed to show their faces on the safari.
Any one of these elements would be a work of art on their own. Combined, even more so. Beautiful!
