kurahee wrote:What have we done? I have no idea... put random colored dots on my shirt in random locations maybe?
It's not just random dots. Its a picture of our world map, with hurricanes and forest fires. Didnt do a good work.
Orangefox wrote:it's a nice change for once, though. i think there should be more (different) art styles, more variety; you've gotta be more well-rounded than "cutesy", right??
Agreed. I'm actually a big fan of this style, I was just echoing the frustration of the artist. He's got my vote.
Re: Fragile Map
I'm back again with a resubmission. Some eagle-eyed folks spotted an error in my design.
As before, the super-size version is available here.
Re: The Geography of 80s Rock ... v3.0
Re: iso soul
Can I have this shirt before Halloween?
Nice colors and sense of depth. :^)
Well-played, I suppose.
Re: Not in Kansas anymore
"Rejected because: No maps of fictional worlds you didn't create."
Clearly not the case. There's only one map in the design and it is of an actual place. Trust me, I live there.
Even a blind squirrel is right twice a day.
battlespikes wrote:Any chance some one could post links or pics to the other shirts in this "trilogy"? I'm intrigued but can't seem to figure out how to find them... Thanks!
Here are the trilogy!
blanked wrote:I like the concept.
Your halftone dots are on top of your outlines of the dolls, and it makes them look fuzzy.
Yeah, the blue of the shirt was too light not to have any outline (which was my first choice), but a solid black line made it way too cartoon like. Should have used a gradient, maybe, and had the outline on the bottom half or something. I agree...
zekecatz wrote:It looks to me as if the car went into the water from the left. So why is the driver swimming away to the right, to the far shore?
Considering the driver drove into the lake following a GPS instead of common sense, I say that logic was NOT used in their escape path either.
Re: World's Easiest Map
What rank does it have to be, in order to survive?
Treasure is spelled wrong at the bottom...
Re: The Road to My Heart is Paved with Ugly Cats
This is my favorite in the fog!
Narfcake wrote:No, this rejection made sense.
Rejecting an entry that showed a map of the USA and pinpointing Kansas City, MO as being fictional ... now that didn't make sense.
I've got to say, Woot, this is a pretty weak rejection if you ask me. I say that as someone who has purchased close to a couple dozen shirts, has never designed one and doesn't know anyone who does design them.
nek0nck2n wrote:Great! But a little bland. Would look nicer with a little color.
I thought about trying to put some half-tones together to color the map, but I'd already eaten all six of my colors w/ the road signs...
citizencoyote wrote:If I ever thought woot had some sort of weird bias toward ramy, this whole debacle certainly Monster A-Go Go (1965) that notion. Someone behind the wheel of the Rejectionator had a bone to pick with him this week, rendering the whole "in Oz" argument moot with a totally arbitrary rejection reason.
Here here. As ridiculous as the 1st rejection was, this one for being off-topic just blows that out of the water (or off the map). There needs to be a board of rejectors because this is obviously the work of one rogue rejector with a bone to pick.
Keep the votes coming! i Appreciate it a lot.
I think the design is perfect for Ken Jennings' latest book, Maphead!

Re: Stellar Cartographer
It looks a lot like the ship from Neil Gaiman's movie 'Stardust'.
If this doesn't break into the fog, keep us posted on printing it elsewhere! GMV
jrhunter wrote:Didn't the cookie monster hear? The cookie tree burnt down last year during the heat wave.
Oh! That would explain the rise in elven joblessness. Poor Cookie Monster can never get a break.

swedishchef1 wrote:Need to get from 1066 to 1984? Take the Green Line and transfer at 1815. And in case you're wondering, some of the dates/orders have meanings, and some are random.
Sadly, I can't see the details, although I like the concept. I think. :-P Can you post a more detailed version for those of us using our phones to view, who are too lazy to walk downstairs to the desktop where we might be able to see more?
Re: finding your way back to a GREAT childhood
I love this shirt. I makes me think of my childhood because it is all true. I wish more people would vote for it. GMV.

tonythai1981 wrote:I've been waiting for someone to say that haha. You don't have to worry its not gonna get printed anyway I assure you.
However, it is a destination on a map and I listed the longitude and latitude on the sign. Too Awesome or Not Too Awesome? That is the question.
KAZVorpal wrote:What rank does it have to be, in order to survive?
First, Second or Third
Wish we could print a big tic tac toe on the back! Great idea and execution
Thanks to everyone for voting... again.
Re: Geek Brain Mind Map
I will certainly vote for it and buy it if "Girlfriend" is replaced with something a little more...general...such as "Relationship(s)" or "Other humans." Because 1) I'm a geek girl and 2) I'm very socially awkward.
