Re: Accelerator Metro

There are some brief test runs with proton-lead collisions due in the next month but not yet... *pedantic*

Got my vote though... just might be a dangerous thing to wear at CERN...

  • Congratulations on winning a Best Loser Award!
  • This is not SPAM.
  • Winning a BLA does NOT mean this shirt won't print -- I'm hoping it does.
  • Your one and only gift is this crappy little badge in your shirt thread. Enjoy.
  • I know it sounds ridiculous -- but speaking from experience -- it may seem romantic, and that's no defense -- love will always get to you.

jfenchel wrote:It's a great design, the dragon could definitely use a little touching up but I'm sure it's far better than anything I could do. The rogue is awesome.

I appreciate the comment! I was originally going to fully color and design the dragon, but I wasn't sure with the limited colors available if it would take away from the rogue. But I agree, it looks like crap - lol. But I'm extremely greatful to break 10 votes for my first woot derby, I plan to do better next time.

I had to LOL at this.
BD3D is saying that the text is too small to "get" the shirt from a normal shirt viewing distance (10 foot interface). He's also old enough to be your dad, and falls squarely in the demographic for this shirt, maybe a bit 70s.

Personally, I'm wondering why you left off Nantucket and Nazareth, since you included Chicago and Boston. (joking)

move along

Re: Geek Brain Mind Map

As a queer geek-guy, adding my voice to those for whom the "girlfriend" bit is a deal-breaker. If it had been something more inclusive, I'd likely have voted, but as it stands, this one's just not for me.

I like this version a lot better, so GMV now.

I could see the 10ft rule being an issue if you're bubble boy. I like t-shirts that promote conversation and interaction.

Nazareth I consider more 70s. If I went with the 70s I would have used it and America. If I was going to add another band from the 80s, I thought about Alabama.

NC's is the Longleaf Pine if I'm not mistaken, but 'Pine' should suffice

kevlar51 wrote:Ukraine is nice to own if you can somehow manage to control Asia--fewer spots to build up your army. But trying to hold Asia is usually a fool's errand. Personally, I think the same about Europe--way too many spots to defend.

My personal strategy (if practical) is to capture Australia as soon as possible. If you can build up there early enough, people tend to ignore you since you're out of the way. But it's a nice way to get an extra two armies every turn and it's easy to defend since there's only one way in.

Last Risk post - I've never seen anyone really control Asia until it was just down to 2. And at that point, it's usually just two Conglomerations of Death (my term for the massive armies that accumulate on one territory towards the end of the game).

I've never decided if I agree with the Australia strategy. True, it's easy to defend, but what's your next move? Waiting for others to fight it out? Because it's not like you're gonna take over Asia anytime soon. I'll always go for North America if I can get it, and if not, South America/Africa combined.

Seriously, please let this shirt print.
