Eventually the turtle was challenged to a race by some hare and gave up on this endeavor.

So, is this what happens to smart post packages that get lost in the mail?

As it turns out, a tortoise can outpace a snail by a factor of 10 (.30 compared to .03 mph). It's inevitable, snail.

Note to self: when running from Death, easy to follow slime trails are a really bad idea.

Aw, who forgot to tell the snail it was Halloween? But judging by its rather turritella type shell, he's probably foreign.

To the contrary, I think the turtle death chase speeds it up ;)

The snail is so the best part of this. Look at his lil eyes looking back all nooo! He's getting closer!!!!!!!!!

I've heard that death comes for us all, but if it chooses to come for us at a turtle's pace then I'm fine with that.

Wow! Thanks so much everyone! I'm surprised this little guy managed to gain the votes it needed to print. Yay! That was one fast turtle. =D

Too bad the poor thing doesn't know hopscotch.

What you didn't know...That's why women live longer than men, because we know hopscotch and can leap over the "grim reaping equipment".

When you stare long enough you can actually see the snail moving!

That poor snail needs an Invisibility Cloak. That'll be sure to fool the grim reaper turtle!

DianaSprinkle, we need to have a serious talk about the ratio of awesome shirts you make to the contents of my wallet >.>

Do you also often find yourself rooting for the underdog?

Not punny enough, SG.

What nobody realizes is that this chase actually started back in Halloween 2009.

Like the design, but would've preferred the turtle to be a skeleton (the Grim Reaper always appears as a skeleton to me).

Still, probably gonna have to be in for one, as I love anything with the Grim Reaper.

*YAY* I absolutely positively HAD to have this one. Soooo cute and so perfect on so many levels...

My Son (who is now grown) had a pet turtle who went to turtle heaven this year...she was almost 30 yrs old and she LOVED crunchy snails. My Son's name? Jonathan! LOL WOOT!!

Great job again DianaSprinkle!

Does this mean the Grim Reaper is Slenderman!?

"You can practice chess all you like, DianaSprinkle. It’s not gonna help."

Well it only took me a few hours to realize that's a Seventh Seal reference.

I have been the facilitator for a pair of Eastern box turtles for about 20 years now, and I can definitely attest that they are the Personification of Death to snails...although PB, the boy, is a little lazy and prefers his pre-shelled (ie slugs)...When we drop the garden snails into their enclosure the turtles will perk up and begin stalking their scrumptious prey...I hadn't thought of making them costumes for Halloween...

Thank you for this. I never would have gotten it.

Of course, I didn't get the movie either.

Love the shirt. Death in the form of a turtle seemed more reassuring to me. Until I read the write-up.

Cute, sick, and twisted all at the same time. Wear this when you're particularly mad at the world and this is what you're wishing upon them - and want to say it nicely. In for one!

I keep imagining what the background music to this scenes is...is it all slow-mo or do the evil death musicians all just give up eventually and walk away?

I'm glad I came back to read the description AFTER I had a full-night's sleep.

Smart post snail, we will miss you.
