Maybe it's Koi-ca-cola

Man...I laughed. I like it, (and the color of the shirt)... but I just don't think I could wear it. My four cats and one ginormous goldfish wouldn't take kindly to it. They'd probably make pet food out of ME.

Eh, maybe I could keep it over at my boyfriend's house, and just wear it away from home. He DOES always comment how one of my cats "tastes" him when he visits.

Kinzoku, I'm glad you went with the birds, I prefer them over the mousie tails.

As all science fiction fans know, "A boy loves his dog."

And in our household, we often jokingly scream at the dogs, "Soylent Green is doggies!" The current dog loves it - she's too old and stringy to eat though!

Okay... after checking stats on the states wooting pretty much every day, I have come to the conclusion that WOOTERS in Washington and Oregon will buy pretty much anything... or maybe there are only two in each state and they collect t-shirts...the jury is still out!

I wouldn't like to have that fish cola - that cup needs a filter. Who knows how much he's pooped in there?

My coworkers and I have a theory that the more animals that died for your meal, the better it tastes. So far the winner is a Wendy's Jr. Bacon Cheeseburger with a patty from the Crispy Chicken Sandwich added to it. We haven't quite worked out the ratios, though. It may be logarithmically related to animal size.

Also, we frequent a Chinese restaurant that shares a wall with Petco across the street from our office . We call it Petco Chinese and speculate where their meat comes from.

It's because it's a goldfish. Their faces are made that way.

Why? Forty-two...you see, it doesn't work.

Let me get this straight. A dog dressed up as a hot dog is hysterical, http://www.amazon.com/Pet-Costume-Diggity-Kethchup-Medium/dp/B000VWITHS . But a shirt that is a play on words is in poor taste?

I think more people need new hobbies.

Clearly you hit on sensitive ground, and it is no longer "just a pun shirt." This shirt drew my attention, and clearly that of many others, and we ask ourselves what the message is. For me the thought that I would be offended by a dog in a bun, or cat in a burger, etc. feels hypocritical since normally there is beef and (what's in a hot dog?).

If I were to wear this shirt, it would be to remind people of the ethical choice we make when we choose to eat meat, and the double standard we have for what is and is not acceptable. Whether people would see that, or "pet food," or a whimsical violation of animal dignity is something we have little control over.

Here's my situation:
I ADORE the artwork. I'm vegan, and I sponsor an organization for ethical eating at a local university. I often wear clothes with animals on them, and some of the shirts are from vegan or vegetarian organizations. I think the shirt is superb because it could start a conversation about ethical eating, omnivores, the difference between pets and animals used for culinary purposes, etc etc etc. However, without that context, it's pretty darn creepy. Eh, I'm in for one: World Go Vegan Week is next week; maybe I can get it quickly enough to wear to school as part of that event....

Call it a group of animal friends dressed up for a thematic costume party. Ethical problems solved!

Peeps get waaaaay too worked up about things sometimes! (And I'm saying this as a flaming leftist animal-rescuing liberal.)

Love the design.

If PETA stands for Pfor the Ethical Treatment of Animals as well as the People Eating Tasty Animals, are we sure this is unethical? I mean, that dog and cat look pretty happy about the situation, and who are we to deny adorable animals happiness?

I'm dreaming when I'm tired, and I'm tired when I'm awake.

Yeawuteva, you’re absolutely right. At least have the dignity and respect to smash the cat with a brick before you it eat. Why make a poor creature suffer?

I agree with the second half of this comment. If the concept with this tee is that it's silly to say it's OK to treat pigs, cows, etc., poorly but not cats, dogs, etc., then it's brilliant commentary. From what I read recently (I think it was a book called "Eating Animals" by Jonathan Safron Foer, but I could be wrong), there aren't really laws regarding animal cruelty if an animal is raised for food, but for pets there are laws. Wassup with that?

Of course, we're at woot here, and this is really just just a pun shirt.

A few blocks from where I live there has been a Veterinary Clinic for several years, around a year ago however I noticed they were closing and a new business was moving in. That business, a Nando's Chicken...

I do however really like the design of this shirt, as does everyone I've shared it with.
