I was not implying that you were the one who did not generate the idea, but that they are so closely related... Not to mention the other one being posted days before this one doesn't really help your cause... But don't worry that other one those I think it looks good isn't really getting votes so its not like anyone is going to profit off of your idea...

Re: Pineapple Grenades

I need to get this for my boyfriend, not because of his military love or cooking, but rather because it'd fit in nicely with his "Psych" obsession : ) Every episode has a hidden pineapple somewhere ...

I was worried about this when I was doing this design, that there was something in Shrek that would be pointed at as being where I got this idea. I haven't watched any Shrek movies, so I don't know what the reference is, but believe me it is completely coincidental...perhaps I should take it as a compliment that established story writers came up with a similar idea.

You totally nailed it with the reference and the theme. This will happen only in the kitchen

Voted!

Thanks to those who wanted to vote for my shirt!

First up, if anyone at woot reads this, please make the celebrity likeness rule clear in the future because your setup for this weeks derby practically begged people to draw a celebrity with the joke about Fieri.

Secondly, thank you all for just assuming I'm just stealing art from people. I used images as reference but this entire design was created by me from scratch.

Third, I would love to get a rough guideline form woot about what is parody and what is not because I actually did change a decent amount about each of these images.

And mjc613 you have got to be kidding me! A Pacman shirt took second in last week's derby!

Oops, forgot to tell you.. would be better with a little refreshed design for the bacon, eggs and so on, and remove the eggs on the bottom of the shirt

The rule on parody here is, flirt with copyrighted stuff, and you risk rejection. It's not usually black and white. Lots of gray area when dealing with copyrighted characters.

Your design contains absolutely no parody and was rightly rejected.

The ! is from w00t shirts, and the eggs to are show you the colors used... they aren't actually on the shirt...

Now I feel kinda dumb. I looked at this shirt and immediately got the cartoon reference. But I didn't even catch that the duck seasoning is black like pepper and the rabbit white like salt. That just made it that much cooler to me. I too will now always see ducks and rabbits while using salt and pepper.
