Re: Learning the didgeridoo
My dad brought a Didgeridoo back from his Australia trip for my husband. It's big, it's loud, and it's hard to do it right. But it's still pretty cool.
Re: Deep Down Under
Thanks! I used to have my PADI license/cert, and have always dreamed of going to Australia to dive the Great Barrier Reef. So, when I think of the Land Down Under, my first thoughts are of blue water and fish and coral reefs...
Awesome design! Nice work!
llamassassin wrote:Possibly the weirdest request I've ever heard.
Haha I was contemplating whether to add it or not, but I thought it looked better without.
CaptainReginald wrote:Love the design, but one thing irks me about it. The one green foot...
+1
Re: Kookaburra In The Old Gum Tree
GMV, but would love to see one with a darker colour scheme? I'm just not sure how well the faded tones would show up + allow the design to be clearly visible from any kind of distance.
Re: Afrilled of a little rain?
Best of the current fogged designs, IMHO. +1 from me.
llamassassin wrote:Did you tie up the turtle using hair from your back? ;)
It's harder than it looks ;-)
Wow!! I was going to do this exact same thing! I even sketched it out and everything. Only difference is that mine had gumballs growing on the tree. I didn't like mine and you executed the idea much better
Re: On the Back of a Turtle
I had to post the entry quickly and leave so I didn't get to leave a comment... I was trying a spin on the aboriginal (sp?) tribal art, though without so many dots, more of a modern take. Hope you all like it. 6 colors on Royal Blue.
Re: Down Under Mutation
dig it! very wearable! gmv
Re: The bandicoot!
Give me everything in your pouch!
Re: K.O.ala-ed
Winner!!!!! Great work guys!
Well done! Being an Aussie I was annoyed at this derby and all the koalas doing random impossible things. This one is good though
Love it and love the colors on this one!
Re: Great White Opera House
So funny! +1
well done you two!
Re: The McEucalyptis is back!
this looks great on the tee color. very cute. I want to see the aftermath where the enraged koala attacks the other for that delicious sandwich. I'd attack him for his delicious sandwich. Oh heck yes I would. Give me that delicious sandwich!
I amazed when I see designs like this and the ones where people use words to make shapes. having to draw all those individual creatures and then fit them all together... that has to be time consuiming to say the least.
Re: North for the Winter
love color pallette and the style and the scene. my only crit is I wish the whole glider was included as well. Still a sweet design.
Re: Sugar glider
A native species to Australia done in a style based on Aboriginal art. I haven't submitted in a while, is there a reason why we now have to email the print ready file instead of uploading it?
I love frilled lizards!
Re: Sydney the Turtle
Oh crikey, look in the sky. The stars formation looks like the flag of my homeland mate. Hope you enjoy the design. Thank you and please vote.
Looks like a lot of clip art to me.
Re: Not a Duck!
No text..nope, none at all.
Re: Blue Ring Love
Welp. This is my first go here. I might puke, but that's okay. It was fun -- this was also my first time doing ANYTHING like this, so I'll let this dangerous cute thing speak for itself. Five colors on asphalt. DEETS: See the big picture here! YEP!
instead of being between a rock and a hard place we are.....
Nice job, especially the eyes. Welcome to Woot.
Agreed.
That is hilarious. GMV
Re: Turtle Opera
It looks nice and I like it, but is that a photo of clouds turned halftone?
Re: Marsupial in my pocket
I hope he doesn't poo in there. he looks very content and relaxed...
haha i LAWLED so hard! :D
Love his devious expression and as usual, your color scheme - very wearable!
lovely design and color choices. My mind think of umbrellas all the time when I see those lizards.
Love the way it looks on the shirt.

Re: Beware the Drop Bear
If you haven't heard of the drop bear, check out this site: http://australianmuseum.net.au/Drop-Bear
This is probably the most "wearable" design I've seen in a derby since I joined. Its too bad the odds are stacked against you, since the "cute-wing" voters have the majority...
Re: Crikey!
very wearable design.
