Re: Flying Lessons

Flying Squirrels have evolved to have a thin, aerofoil-like body shape that gives them a high lift to drag ratio. The other kind of squirrels are... not really cut out for gliding.

Re: Common Sequence

The Fibonacci Sequence is found in lots of things, from mollusks to galaxies.

I'll post a big detail of this later, now I have to look at something that is not a computer screen.

Thanks so much for looking

Re: Doppler Effect

An artistic representation of the Doppler Effect. The change in audio wavelength when one source is stationary and the other is in motion.

I just thought it was visually striking.

I love this. It's a true example of math in nature. The fact that bees have figured out that a hexagon is the most practical shape for their hives is just amazing.

Re: Onomatopoeias b.C.

Mi? Peh?
Go here for the actual pronunciation of these letters, and this doesn't work nearly as well. I liked the concept, except that even in English Pi is "Pie", and I'm having trouble wrapping my head around why a bird is saying it. Sorry, I know I'm a noodge.

It took me a moment to realize that is a subtraction sign between the cat and bowl on the first line, but then I got it. I like the lighting effect from the match flame, btw.

Clever. I like it!
