I think what would have made this shirt better is if their was actually something on the screen.

maybe a "scene" from starwars... like a deathstar night scene... or maybe riff on one of the phantom menace annoying fan blunders...*ahem*jarjar

Oh, I think I will be doing many many versions of this design since it looks like it isn't gonna win this derby. Everything from classic MST3K movies, to Star Wars, to Dr. Who...

Ewoks and JarJar are for sure on the list.

And I shall prove it with this perfectly level box I drew between the bottom of the saber and the top of the text.

Well, like I said - don't let my opinion bug you too much.

Some of the movies are very science fiction. Also, how else do you explain how they fit into the little pokeballs? lol

amreli wrote:Just don't like brown or don't like brown with this design? I really wanted to do a brown shirt for this one as a reference to Browncoats, which is why I chose it.

I liked the reference you created there with the brownshirt...plus I think the colors you used really complemented the shirts color. There are too many grey shirts on woot anyway

Re: Existential Whale

Perfect--subtle enough to be cute without the reference, and awesome enough that people who get the reference will love it that much more. I would definitely buy this.

Boba Fett lived - to be technical - "However, he was knocked into the mouth of the Sarlacc by Solo. Though no one in recorded history had ever escaped from the Sarlacc, Fett was able to escape, although not entirely unscathed. Thanks to his iron will and Mandalorian armor, he was able to fight his way out of the beast's belly, killing the Sarlacc. Back in action, he continued his work as a bounty hunter."

- Great shirt :P

freeagent08 wrote:I'm sure that the copyright is still with me. Is this design has no place in this derby.. I'm just trying with my first submission.. Thanks for the comment Sir..

Woot wants original work, the shirt can't have been printed anywhere - even last year. It also cannot be up for voting elsewhere.

Feel free to look around and find the rules before re-subbing, it should save you some trouble.

TobiasAmaranth wrote:Welcome to sci-fi. Things don't always make sense, but they try to. If you want 'definitely always make sense', go with hard sci-fi. That may be what you're after.

Also - copyright issues of course. Same reason there was no red paint involved (besides possible color limitations)

And, as a bit of an anti-Ramy person around here... I admit I at least laughed at this one. It's certainly stretching the derby a bit, but it does count. I voted for once.

I get science fiction. That isn't a question. I am pretty sure electrocuting a mouse would probably kill it rather than give it the ability to use electricity. Even for science fiction that is a huge stretch. Now pour some radioactive chemical on the mouse first, boom we have a story hah.

I liked this design at first. I grew up on pokemon and still love it, but the more I looked it, the worse the design seemed.
