I feel like this is the little brother of Boots' Don't Look Back, I've Got You Or maybe when the robot was a little tyke.

Either way, it's freakin' awesome.

I sure hope this wins. My favorite entry. I don't have a Star Wars shirt despite being a huge Star Wars nut, but this passes my extremely high bar of standards for Star Wars t-shirt designs.

Great illustration. Remids me of machinarium, which is basically the video game equivalent of this derby's theme.

I don't know the reference and I wish there wasn't one. Because without the reference this shirt would be all kinds of awesome.

Does anybody else think pop culture reference = unwearable?

Wait...so you don't know the reference, but once you become aware of one, that alone causes the shirt to go from awesome to unwearable? I'm confused.

That said, out of the t-shirts I wear, the ones I get the most comments on are the ones devoid of references, usually.

Maybe it's because you just tossed a bunch of things in with the fish for it to be on topic? A lightsaber with no remains of whoever had it, a hello kitty skull with an HP lightning bolt for good measure (scifi?), some other fish, and a companion cube for some reason.

I liked the shirt until I realized what all was going on in the tank.

Oy, again with the penguins!

There must be a population surge of the little tuxedo-clad beggars lately, I think I need to come up with a recipe for penguin stir-fry...

Cute shirt, as always, but man, we need to see some different critters...

I'm in the same sort of camp, especially when it comes to Woot shirts. I never really vote for or buy the reference designs, save for the occasional gift for others. Paying people to rip off of others' intellectual property / creativity, rather than rewarding those who take a chance to create something new and original, tends to leave a bad taste in my mouth as a general rule.

Brill illustration Adam!

Greedo looks sad but I can't feel sorry for him. His action figure used to take a lot of punishment from my other ones. Ah, if only I'd kept them mint in box... then I would be rich, and I wouldn't have left my Jawa on the schoolbus. ;_;

I had an idea that went really awry (with a Pirhana that happily ate everything thrown its way), and then realized I didn't leave enough room for everything in the tank. (Next task: figure out how to use the tablet).

I really despise the Kawaii designs that often get voted up in the Derby, but like the more creative ones, so it was more an exercise to play more with textures, halftones and try to make a creepy/cute character.
