Time again for another march toward t-shirt doom! Discuss this week's life-or-death struggle for sales supremacy as chronicled on the Reckoning page all week long.

Here's how the Reckoning week runs now: every Tuesday at midnight, we retire the previous week's lowest-selling shirts and launch this here discussion thread. Tuesday around noon we'll post the all-new, all-early Reckoning Recon. On Friday, we'll juice demand and prime the pump with a little weekend reminder post. Finally, on the following Monday, the Day of Reckoning post sounds the last call for the Reckoned shirts. All of those posts will be linked below. Monday night (or Tuesday morning), it starts all over again. The Reckoning, she is a hungry beast...

This is going to be a really dramatic reckoning. Inevitable Betrayal will probably make it out, so shirts like Questionable Table of Elements and Unstealthiest Ninja have to struggle for survival.

As for the cheese... I'm afraid that its time may have come.

I'm chest deep in code, so I don't have time for the specifics, but you did about as well as last week.

But I do have a question for your prognosticating highness...

How many noobs will escape this week? There are 4 out already. Inevitable Betrayal seems...well...inevitable. Does the Doctor have a chance?

What?! Cheese and Questionable Table in the danger zone? Unstealthiest Ninja in the twenty spot?!! And all on a Monday! What's with all these new shirts taking over the chart? I finally get a job and stop spending a quarter of my free time on shirt.woot, and the whole reckoning goes ass over teakettle in a matter of a few weeks?! No sir, I don't like it. Humph! *flounces away*

P.S. I'm extra huffy because I meant to pick up "I'm here to rescue..." before it got reckoned, but I didn't get the chance. Grr!)

P.P.S. I second Narfcake's call to expand the reckoning. It'd give you a chance to use that expanded printing capacity for something other than first-day blockbusters, woot!

It's a scary reckoning when a shirt that sells nearly 4000 copies on its debut day (Inevitable Betrayal) doesn't even start out of the danger zone. Buckle up everyone, it's gonna be a wild week.

I'm wearing Khione right now. It's such a beautiful shirt that I hope it makes it out of the Reckoning, but doesn't look likely. If they aren't combining the short sleeve & long sleeve numbers on that one, they really should.

This is hilarious:

So, does that mean that the shirt I bought my daughter is the only woman's sized shirt sold this week?

I'll agree with you that it's going to be a week that sees several popular shirts shuffle off this mortal coil.

However, I'll disagree that IB's debut is anything but expected. It's all but impossible for the 3rd place derby shirt to debut high, and realistically it will nearly always be in the Danger Zone.

A Sunday shirt has only one day of non-debut sales, but that 1 day is spread out over 8 days (total non-debut days until the end of it's first reckoning).

So let's say a Sunday shirt sells 200 on Monday (that's a pretty good day). Woot-accounting says that's a DSR of 25. That 25 might be out of the danger zone but usually not by much.

IB is a good shirt, with excellent sales so far, which is why it's already shot up to #16. In most weeks it might make a run for #1 later in the week, but Dark Knight and Escape are going to prove tough to hurdle.

Not necessarily. Schrödinger’s Equation was a Sunday 3rd place winner, had over 4K in sales, and debuted at #6. Granted, IB sold roughly 20% fewer than the cat, but it nonetheless had a very solid day and ended up with over 4K sales by Tuesday morning. That is why I was surprised to see it start in the danger zone, although Narfcake accurately predicted it.

Moot point now, it's out and kicking ninja butt (sadly).

Probably, which is why I just updated the links in the quote here ...

It's going to be obvious to us regulars here that if we're going to save a shirt this week, we'll have to focus our efforts on one.

  • SO PLEASE BUY THE SHORT SLEEVE UNSTEALTHIEST NINJA shirt instead!

I'll put in my two cents-

Easiest Thanksgiving Recipe will most likely stay in the Danger Zone, QTOE might make it out, I fear for Cheese, I'm not seeing much hope for WTD and Khione, and NPA could go either way. Triumph took quite a hit thanks to a lot of high-ranking noobs, and I wonder of BOP's numbers are high enough to keep it above the Danger Zone. No comments on the Ugly Sweater, though.

Something like that... more precisely it only counts shirts sold today, that are not currently today's woot.

So at the time the shirt you bought may have been the only woman sized shirt sold today that is not High Cholesterol.

Although really something doesn't add up, since that would imply that at this point Run Away! Run Away! had sold almost 500 shirts today... which is not accurate since The Dark Knight has only sold 254 as of now.
