Finally, a good theme!

Here come the penguins?

Snow! So much snow...

I would have liked to have seen a no bunnies rule, but I think that penguins are a little too much of a "gimmie" when it comes to winter themes.

Yes, it probably means a deluge of the little suit wearing, wobble walking, button eyed critters--but hey, I admit that my own mind does think penguins and polar bears when it comes to winter things. That and snowflakes.

So go ahead, and let those guys march on in, just hope to see a few arty penguins and not just the cutesy ones.

-bleep- I would have hoped that Woot would have placed penguins among their rules for this week. Over/under of 2.5 on penguins in the Fog...I'll go over.

Given the number of penguins in memes and movies, I'd think they count as pop culture.

YEAH! Heck, yesterday in the afternoon, I even had the a/c on in the car. It got over 70 degrees ...

BTW, I don't mind some penguins, as I have a fair share of them already.

if your daily sub was rejected, i think you are free to sub to the derby, but if it's still under consideration, once it's subbed to the derby they may reject the daily sub.

i don't think it's too holiday, but a sure way to find out is just sub it and wait...

I do think it is too much holiday for this derby's rules. The theme is really Winter, not Xmas. Yes, we wear sweaters in the winter -- but I think that is a big stretch.

thought of an idea, maybe wont end up submitting anything this week though....

great!!! just maybe you want to have the top bunny on the other bunny's shoulders? that would make more sense... or is the bunny supposed to be hanging from the carrot?
also: just a reminder, the text on the carrot bag would need to be removed

In addition to the word carrots, the exclamation point over the person's head is counted as text, so it needs to be removed as well.

ETA: I think the idea is cute, and I like it.

Currently called 'Nose Thief'. I'll give it a background and polish it up tomorrow. All feedback welcome.


Edit: Nathan! How weird is that? Going with similar punchline, although a very different set-up and layout. If everyone is drawing snowmen and rabbits this could get awkward, but hopefully we're still cool. :P

Maybe make the top and bottom of the tree flow more, not so harsh?

Yeah I see the Christmas argument, but it's not like the sweaters go away with the lights and ornaments. I'm going to try anyhow.
