Really like this, like how you faded out the tree, although I wish the bottom of it extended a lil' bit lower on the t-shirt.
Still wonderful.

Re: Sad Snowman

This is lovely, understated and sweet. I'd find it more wearable if it was a bit smaller on the t-shirt, but with the swirly bits spread out wider, if that makes sense.

Sorry, I darkened the background so the shirt would stand out. It's on red as in the icon, putting it on the shirt comp made it look the third shade (first time I've tried the shirt thing.)

Good call, I think it was a case of being too involved in the design to see it. I noticed that as well only after it was posted and I looked at the shirt on the image. Anyways, thanks so much for your kind words.

How do I do that? I downloaded the woot shirt template for Illustrator, and when I tried to save it as a .jpg or .png, it removed the shirt outline. I'm...kinda dumb when it comes to this sorta thing.
Thanks!

I might just have to make a new note in my design book- "White = Fail". It will go nicely next to "Black = Win" and "Bunny = Super Win"

Re: Nose Thief

Don't blame the bunny! It was super hungry, so when it saw that heavenly carrot, who could blame it?! If I was starving in the dead of winter, I'd have the same mischievous smile after snatching that nose of a carrot. :D Great design!

Really?!?

Pop Culture as defined by dictionary.com:

Commercial culture based on popular taste

I don't think Vivaldi qualifies.

Re: Vivaldi's Winter

I'd like to see shirt.woot give a solid definition of what the definition of 'text only' shirts are because this pretty much qualifies as gussied up text/symbols in my book, whether or not it fits the theme. Anybody can find a classical song related to winter or cold or snow or ice and slap icicles on it...

My mind was still in last week's derby theme, and Ice Dragons are some of the oldest recorded myths in Norse mythology.

I was very much tempted to do that, but I was concerned it would move into pop culture reference territory.

Yeah, so there's that...

Oh man I love penguins! This is the perfect original wintry pic! The only way this pic could have been better is if there were bunnies in it too! Shirt.woot is shamefully lacking in BOTH of these!

Re: Ice Dragon

I like dragons, however I don't really get any "wintery" feel from this design... other than the name. It just looks like a dragon in a night sky.

From your definition:

cultural activities or commercial products reflecting, suited to, or aimed at the tastes of the general masses of people.

Perhaps a world famous composer's work isn't a cultural activity suited to, or aimed at the tastes of the general masses of people.

I guess it's just me... I said perhaps I didn't understand the definition of popular culture... maybe you assumed that was sarcasm.

The design is really very nice, but I'm bothered about the fact that the snowflakes have eight arms, instead of the six of practically all real snowflakes.

Re: Chillin

Somehow the 'arms' of each snowflake remind me of awesome swords. Not sure why I have swords on the brain.

Short story: I love it.

The architecture of the snowflake is very complex, but the overall design FOR A T-SHIRT is too simple. There needs to be more to it...

It seems to me that the cup doesn't stand out very well [since the cup and the shirt are the same color]. I'm sure there are ways you can better define the cup, either with more halftones around the edge, or using a darker/lighter shade of red...
