Congrats on the print, Lucky! Penguins!!
This is my first time getting on Woot for the past several days; I saw that the price was $12 instead of $10. Wondering why, I decided to check the comments section, figuring surely someone else had asked the same question. Although I found the answer I was looking for, I was a bit disappointed that so many of the responses to inquiries are insults. People are just asking a simple question, they just need a simple answer. If it had been $12 for the past year, then you would be right to tell them to "get with the program". It has literally not even been a WEEK yet. There are many simple-minded people in this world that puff themselves up by ridiculing others for not sharing their knowledge on a subject. If you are doing it over a $2 price increase on a t-shirt, then you live a very sad life.
This is pretty brilliant.
I like this design. I'm a big fan of designs that look like something else from a distance.
YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY AN ORCA SHIRT!!! <3 <3 <3 Favorites. Animal. Evar. Boo price increase tho :<
Would this be considered a feminine shirt? Could a guy get one?

Why is it that I feel the only folks who'd care are those who aren't confident about themselves? If you like it, buy it.
That's such an ugly whale, I don't even get.. wait, hold on... OH MY GOD THOSE ARE PENGUINS!!

I totally agree. Not all of us spend every minute of their day on woot! to know why there was a price increase.

Actually, orcas, or killer whales, are the largest member of the dolphin family.
Keith, this is brilliant work and I'm so glad it printed! Congrats!
Thanks for all the support and positive comments everyone, I really appreciate it! If this penguin and his buddies had orca-strated their formation, he probably wouldn't be pushed around.
Funny shirt. Think the concept would be a little more clear if there was a second orca behind them.
yay! congrats Lucky
Yes, because it is actually about hunting.
What people haven't noticed is those aren't actually penguins, they're mimic octopuses.
Impressive! I of course bought it!

In this economy where a lot of people are getting their pay cut, I just don't see a 20% price increase as anything but a betrayal. No more woot for me.
You do realize that that price hike still makes this the cheapest decent shirts around, right? Design By Humans charges upwards of $20 plus shipping, thinkgeek is $15 and up plus shipping, snorgtees is the same. I would much rather pay $12 with free shipping for a shirt than see shirt.woot close down in this horrible economy.

I was going to ask the same thing.

Agreed. I check woot when I wake up in the morning. If I see something I like, I look into the comments/information on it. If I don't, I then proceed to my email.

Yeah, $12 for a made in the US shirt is still a good deal. I mean, I wish they were $10, but the price hadn't increased in ever.
you know .. I like this shirt but am STILL pissed about the whole $12 dollar thing .. up from $10 .. does anyone have an explanation for such robbery?
[quote postid="4819695" user="breezer265"]ROBBERY ... there is lots of competitors .. threadless, cafe press ,high cotton.. shirt.woot. WAS the best deal.. Is there an explanation for such a disrespectful act on all your loyal followers?!
Cool shirt. Too bad it comes on the heals of a 20% price hike. It's a good thing I have a several year supply of Woot shirts! By the time I have to buy new ones, $12 will be worth what $10 was today... 20% is WAAAAAY too high a jump. Out for one and done with shirtwoot.com.
Congrats Lucky! This is a good one. Penguins with a purpose.

I was so happy this got made, it is so made of win! I've been lurking on woot for a while and this was my first purchase, though I'm sure it's not the last.
Thanks everyone!
I'm pretty sure they're doing that to avoid being eaten, as opposed to watching too much Power Rangers. (MechaPenguin < KillerFreakinWhale) Creative shirt though, thumbs up! Wait, so people are complaining about paying $12 + free shipping for an American made Tshirt printed with real art made by real people? Yo, hop on over to your local corporate retail store and buy a $9 shirt made of shoddy material and by people who received half a loaf a bread for their daily wages. I'm sure you could find some with some really cool tribal designs or Asian calligraphy with dragons and flames and such.
How do we get this on a sweatshirt or long-sleeve T?
well, you are what you eat...
