Brilliantly expresses the deep boredom + fascinating oddities exposure to public transportation leads to.

I'm not sure which aspect of this shirt I love more: the texting crab, the gadget whore octopus, the sinking body, or the hobo shark. So many great elements here.

Shirts are $12 now? When did that start?

Hmmm, I just posted a comment and now it's not showing up. Does anyone know why is costs $12?

I like it; but I don't think the man being murdered is supplemental or relevant.

Prices on all "featured" shirts are now $12. No more $10 shirts. Cost of printing and upkeep has gone up.

It kind of reminds me of the SpongeBob episode when he had to wait for a bus at the bottom of the ocean and all the other creatures were creepy.

This proves that submitting late to tge derby will not really make a difference when your design is really good. Congratulations! Awesome shirt.

How did this design not win? I told myself no more t-shirts, even before the price went up but this is sweet. I'm in!

Really disappointed that the "Sunken" shirt didn't make it to the top 3. Great color and placement on it...

I think one of the aspect of this design that I like the most is the slouch of the deep sea diver. Something in particular about his hunched shoulders just conveys that he's been sitting there for a long time.

OK now I feel stupid. I thought it was supposed to be short for "Subway", and while I admittedly don't live anywhere near a subway, I didn't think anyone ever called them "the sub"...

Held out on yesterday's on the assumption this one would snag third; both of my first two weeks here I've liked the third place finisher the best.

I'd say the word "sub" and "bus" are very simple anagrams instead....

Or am I missing the joke here?

That is the only thing that is making me hold off on this one. I love the concept and execution (Cripes! No pun intended, I swear!), but I remember years ago I read an article about how Diesel jeans had to pull an advertisement for similar imagery. The ad was aesthetically quite beautiful, but featured a man underwater, chained to a cinder block, his arms tied behind him as he struggled toward the light at the surface of the water. In the background, the inert corpses of other stone-strapped drowned men were visible. It was very controversial and considered highly offensive because tying stones to the feet of political dissidents and throwing them out of helicopters into the ocean was a fairly common way the Argentinian government would 'disappear' those they found troublesome during the 'Dirty War.'

I was fairly young and I'd never heard of the practice before, and it chilled me enough that I remember it even now.

I love this shirt, though! What to do?

ETA: This must make me insensitive, but I am getting it anyway. I love the little details about the different characters at the stop. So clever.

The beggarshark is a distasteful beast, despite being the laziest and least dangerous member of selachimorpha. But I wonder, do beggarsharks reek of urine, even underwater?

I feel like there's a theme here, the shirts that get picked are either super adorable or somewhat creepy. There's a drowning man here people!! Freaky!

I love the design and it's humorous squid. Reminds me of the "Waiting for the Interurban" (http://www.seattle-fun.com/image-files/seattle-fremont-04.jpg) statue in Seattle. Both have that public transit feel.

Too bad the shirt is baby blue... bwah. I mean blue, hell yeah, I got too many black shirts already! But baby blue? No way.

Oh come on. Don't be silly! How else would you convey the underwater feel and still have the lovely black print and details? Also, it gives a perfect dreary feel to the events depicted. It's good stuff.
