I'm sad this one didn't get more attention, it's rather unique.

mjc613 wrote:The thumbnail background and the shirt color do not match - at least on my computer. Also, I don't think this is a shirt color woot offers. Both are normally reasons for rejection. Since it is so late in the derby (it closes later today), I doubt you will get rejected - or all the votes this deserves. But I hope to see more work from you, so keep all this mind

Thank you for the feedback, mjc613.

The colors should be the same, but if they are showing up different, I must have done something wrong. I originally put in the olive color.

I was trying to get this in at the last minute (submitted at 11:47 on Wednesday). I think the quality suffered several ways because of my rush. Since this was my first Shirt.Woot!, my first art competition, in fact, I think I became overeager once the ideas started coming. That said,I should probably choose to wait for another opportunity next time, instead of submitting sub-standard work.

Thank you especially for the words of encouragement. I will hold on to those as I continue to put myself out there in the days ahead.

Re: Rescue

Really beautiful work, Robbie. I think this is one of the most striking images in the derby. If I had any critique at all, it would be that I would like to know more about the story! It might have been a neat touch to add just a bit of detail to the building. I really want to imagine it like an evil underground testing facility, ala The Hive, and the robot is rescuing the kitty from the lab. This image really makes you wonder what's up there. Great work with the mood and lighting as well.

Yeah I'm still surprised about it. Hopefully I'll be able to get it up on another site.

D3lusional wrote:I think QR codes should count as text. It's the same lazy design choice that the whole shirt rests on. Really, this would have no more than a few votes if it weren't for the code.

While we're at it, I think circles should count as text too because just look at an O sometime.

AGREED! I also WANTWANTWANT! It's always sad when two shirts in the fog are almost exactly alike, yet a brilliant one doesn't make it in!

yes, that's it, at first I only saw a crown, but then upon further inspection I saw two kitties, not skulls. Funny how our brains work, lol.

Actually, the paint drips were intended to have been there from when a human used the cans, just as in the case of the pink ones, before the black can was knocked over by the cat.
