Strangle equals mass times acceleration! Of course! It all makes sense now!

"ma" stands for Midichlorian amount.

Star Wars geek meets physics geek. I love it!

IMO, Physics really is the dark side of the Force - pure evil.

Could be force push equals mass times acceleration? Dunno.

Bilyum it up all day long!

Well, points for a Star Wars reference + an equation that scored a laugh. Shading also suitably ominous, although at first I was trying to connect the hand to some space based villain out of a comic.

If it was glow-in-the-dark with lightning from the fingers, it would have sold out by now!

And what does Midichlorian amount stand for?

Any law of physics is part of the dark side - only a Sith deals in absolutes.

Rats, by the time I looked up how to spell Midichlorian somebody already beet me to the punch.

I love the write up on this one. I too felt like all the "explanations" that were given in the earlier films and re-releases were unneeded. We just wanted more action staring space wizards with light swords.

Force = mass x acceleration....or ma

It seems Lucas had it wrong. Darth Vader was a mother. (At least according to this shirt)

Midichlorian Amount = Forced

Wow, I was relatively mixed up when I first saw this. I thought the hand was supposed to be an "E" but then there was no "c^2". Guess that's why I'm a biologist and not a physicist. But either way I know I'm a geek because I'm definitely a Star Wars fan!

I would of bought the shirt if it had MQ or something that was remotely understandable as a midiclorian reference.

I looked at the shirt, had to read comments why it was MA, and still shook my head.

The shirt looks awesome with the hand and =

It just doesn't make sense when you look at it.

It's not a flame - it's cool looking, I've bought almost 100 shirts - and I love sci fi - but I'm not going to buy this one. Sorry.

edit: just saw the Force = mass acceleration explanation.

if it would of been m*a then yeah.

Again, sorry.

If you need to explain it, it isn't worth buying.

Never wooting again. I've learned my lesson about inferior customer service and employees that illegally modify your signature (18 U.S.C. § 1029). Grow up, woot. (Edit of Mod edit: I am telling the truth about you modifying my signature to slander me. I am not attacking people. You dont qualify as "people" until you call me back and I hear a voice on the phone, then we can discuss how your employees are harassing me.) Still no response Since December 2010.

Just out of curiosity, does anybody know if that hand means anything in sign language?

It took me a second to realize that the hand wasn't reaching out to strangle the equation. I pretty much feel the same way anytime some one wants me to do math.

I would buy this shirt, but I was already planning on going into Toshi Station to pick up some power converters.

I can pretty much recite the trilogy in my sleep. And I didn't catch that this shirt was a Star Wars reference.

Also, anyone using the word "Sith" in these comments needs a swift kick right in the JJ-Binks.

EDIT: Oh, and I love the shirt and think it's wonderful and I'm gonna buy a whole lot of them and I love woot and think that Amazon is great too and hooray for caped monkeys. Now hopefully my post will stick around.

That's funny because I've only watched maybe 1/3 of one of the movies, but as soon as I saw the thumbnail, I recognized it as the Force. But then, I've been playing Soul Calibur 4 a lot recently, so maybe Star Wars, thanks to Yoda and the Apprentice, was simply on my mind? Lol

So... ignoring the shirt for a moment.

That's really a nice write up, I approve.
