Re: 1989: Insanity
A little darker than normal for me, but I was dealing with a loss this week and I suppose some of those feelings seeped through in the style. Hope you guys enjoy.
Re: 1990
this is both super cool and somewhat disturbing.
Re: 1986: Dark Side of the Moon
1968: Jim Lovell and crew of Apollo 8 are the first humans to see the dark side of the moon.
I'm always hoping your designs will win, but this one especially. It's glorious.

And yes, I typed the year wrong in the webform.
I like this, but why is the secret sauce white?
Re: 1986: It's All Television
1968 (yes, I messed up the webform and reversed the 6 and the 8): Andy Warhol is shot. Part of his quote, about life, afterward was "It's all television".
Re: 1974: It's Alive!
Great stuff Wences!
Re: 1971-Floppy Diskette

Re: 1982
Nice work--really wish it came with that tagline; it really made me chuckle
Yup, this was an easy vote for me! As always Ramyb
Re: 1985 - The Sparrow Escapes
Events in the year 1985 1985 - Nintendo releases Super Mario Bros! 1985 - Keira Knightley (Elizabeth Swann, Pirates of the Caribbean) was born.
Yay 1990! I love this combination.
Nice, this would be a fun shirt for my son.

I can't believe I didn't get the "rainbow connection."

Oops. I meant special sauce.

Re: 1973
Zack Morris would be proud.
It feels all invasive doesn't it? And weird to learn everyone's ages! Funny, clever, and sharp looking design fishbiscuit!

I liked this but had a feeling it was going to get rejected. . . too close to original art w/ no parody? Love the blue that you used, though.
Nice execution, I had thought about this for our year. Actually, if we had combined our ideas...hmmmm....
curli76 wrote:Oops. I meant special sauce.
Just an aesthetic choice. For some reason I remember it being cream almost white color. Clearly I no longer eat Big Macs!! Haha.
Freaking Kong always stealing the princess...ugh!
Re: 1986: An ASCII Odyessy
Yes please. Extremely attractive.
The movie Eagle Eye comes to mind.
Re: 1983
I thought Mario Bros came out in 85
Out of the shirts I have seen you do on Woot, This is my favorite.
Re: 1979
Considering how obsessed with Muppets I can be, I can't figure out who the groundhog (?) behind Piggy is supposed to be... Help? ETA: Love the design though and GMV regardless!
Re: 1977 - Light Side
1977 is the best year, and you have a vote from me my sistah!
This is a cute shirt but it looks more like it's a Pirates themed shirt than a Mario one, especially given the addition of the sparrow.
Pretty cool! :D I really like the idea and execution, but the font of the roman numerals is bothering me a bit. It looks a bit too 'clean' for my taste and doesn't go that well with the style of the image. (just my personal opinion though! ^^; )
