pretty. i like taternugget's "The PiRAT" better though, cause i'm afraid that, on a shirt, this one looks like just another pirate (you'd have to get close to notice the numbers)

That's what I was thinking. The stereogram doesn't really need to work for the joke to work. I'm not sure if you'd actually be able to see it when it's printed on a shirt. My guess is: probably, but only if it's laying pretty flat.

Calling someone a troll for voicing their opinions, especially on multiple threads, is being just as much of a "troll" as you're accusing us of being. Being a troll is voicing an opinion specifically just to try to stir things up, which is exactly the flavor of your other posts. The so-called trolls you're accusing have been voicing their opinions of the shirts, not the artists, and have made nothing so personal as the name calling you've stooped to. Just sayin'

As I was drawing this, I definitely had blue in mind as the shirt color. But when it came time to finalize the ink colors, the blue shirts made the design look too much like it was only intended for little kids. Putting the design on asphalt gave it a little more of a serious pirate-y tone, and the dark grey was a good solution for the color of the captain's hat and the flag.

I love that the pop is the octopus and then you quickly fill in all the details surrounding it. It's a great travel for the eye and gets my vote!
