EDIT: Just to be clear, I'd agree with you on Monday-Wednesday debuts, probably Thursday, and to an extent on Friday. Based on the (admittedly limited) numbers I've run, the power law curve "transition" seems to occur around day 4.

I'll have to put together a chart showing per day postings for the Newbs to see what we're looking at. Should be interesting, if I get some time later.

i haven't really noticed a difference in the neck. then again, i'm touchy enough in the neck i can barely stand to wear necklaces, so unless a shoulder or boob falls out i'm not bothered by extra neck space.

this is the second anvil i've gotten and i must say it's closer to the AA in both material feel and fit than the 'not like the others' was. on the other hand, the fact that it was still on AA was a tipping point that helped me decide to buy it, so i'm displeased that that was not true.

My chest hair is visible in AA shirts....

... I have too much chest hair.

In non-hair-related news it looks like any purists wanting to pick up the binge and nevermore should do so now. Woot is all out of AA Asphalt and as Narf said it would not surprise me if the Bazinga sellout exhausted the supply of AA Royal Blue.

Based on the current reckoning and the side sale only shirts that come out on these colors will be AA in the future:

Olive Green
Red
White
Lemon yellow
Cranberry
Baby Blue
Silver

Honestly I can see the white and yellow AA shirts lasting a long time, seems like those 2 colors are the hardest to sell.

Friday's here which means we're getting drunk. Oh, and it's almost Reckoning time, too. In case you're into that. So take a gander and see what's the haps on our Reckoning page. Here's a sneak peek at who's on the bubble as of this moment:

Heather gray sold out of several sizes during the Shooting Blanks event, so they're out of those too. It's not like there are any more shirts using it now anyways - no more ICOON, and Cake or Pi was rebooted for the last event too.

I updated my post to reflect that. I was lucky I snagged an ICOON via a random shirt trade, in fact I saw quite a lot up for trade after the latest random shirt day. Guess all the doctor who/back to the future fans already got their copies.

Yeah, I got one in my randoms too. Between me and my wife we already owned five. I short-sold number six to a friend.

Looks like Nyan and Family Portrait are having it out for that 20th spot. I don't want either to go, but I'm predicting that Hang in There is going to hang in there for at least another week – so they both may take a dive.

Yeah, so there's that...

Depending how the three Derby shirts this weekend do, it's possible that all 7 foals survive on April 16.

At least 4 of them will be in the Top 20 on Monday at midnight. Next week should be pretty entertaining.

I know, it's gonna be difficult to survive and I appreciate your words. I'm really happy with my debut at shirt.woot. Family Portrait has done an amazing job, and I'm immensely proud that almost five thousand people are wearing something I've made... It doesn't mind if it is this Monday, or next (that's for sure...what a week!), it can rest in peace

I'm glad I decided to pull the trigger on The Binge Thursday, it hasn't shipped yet but hopefully it will still be on AA.

Dunno if this will end up being my last shirt.woot purchase, but they will be much less likely once the AA's are gone.

Sooo disappointed. I just got my copy of 1981 and it is on Anvil. First let me expain that I thought the design was cool but it wasn't a "must have" for me, but just before it was reckoned I saw neuropsychosocial's post listing the shirts that were still on AA and women's and kid's 1981 was on the list. So I double-checked the sizing as I ordered (I bought on Monday 4/2 and the post was dated 3/28 so I wanted to be sure) and the sizing chart showed AA.
I knew as soon as I pulled it out of the bag that it was Anvil, before I even unfolded it... The neck size, the texture of the fabric. The shirt unfolded shows the short length and hip wings, beside which the WXL in Anvil is huge compared to the WXL in AA.
So I will send the shirt to my sister (who likes baggy t-shirts) and from now on will buy only long-sleeve shirts on the weekly specials, because I can be sure they are on AA.

Did you contact customer service? The women's sizes vary so much between AA and Anvil, they should refund it or offer to replace it.
Now I'm worried -- I also ordered 1981, specifically because it was still on AA. Took screenshots of the sizing chart and everything. It shipped recently, but if you've already gotten yours on Anvil, I have a sinking feeling that mine will be too. I ordered a WS in AA, so nothing will fit me in the new shirts.

I bought Nyan's Dream and The Artist when they were both listed as AA (for kids' sizes). They came on Anvil's. I sent a note to service@woot.com and they refunded my money for both of those because of it.

Now that Nevermore has reached the four year mark, I'm curious, who out there has helped it to reach this point?

How many times have some of you out there in woot-land chipped in to save the bird and help it to hit the four year mark?

I'm so sorry this happened! Same thing happened to me with a shirt from the Side Sale; I emailed woot.service and they refunded my purchase, which I appreciate, but what I really wanted was the shirt on AA, of course. Do email woot.service; I assume that they'll issue you a refund without any trouble, because they've been doing so whenever this has happened.

I've been updating the list every day, but obviously it's dependent on information from woot.

Noted! Last week, this happened with kids' sizes of "Nyan's Dream," which formally switched to Anvil for Reckoning 243, so I wouldn't be surprised if the same thing happens to "They're Too Short."

Any other reports of shirts listed as being on AA arriving on Anvil? What size?

Today's shirt "Air Quoth" is listed as Men's being on AA, but if they've already starting printing Reckoning slate shirts on Anvil, how can this be? Is "Air Quoth" REALLY on AA for Men's sizes??? Or are we being duped?

And the kitty leaps for a higher branch, #18 as of this post.

Next week's competition will be tough, but it looks like it will manage to put in a showing if it keeps it up these last 27ish hours.

Regarding AA blanks... I've decided the easiest way to avoid disappointment is to assume *any* shirt bought now will be on Anvil blanks. That way when one does show up on an AA blank, I'm pleasantly surprised rather than bitter. I know that doesn't work for people specifically looking for AA blanks, but at this point it's a total crap shoot.

I've been enjoying the kitty climb... Tough little kitty.

My concern with the Anvil vs AA lies in the possibility of them saying it's now on Anvil and then when I order there is an old AA in that woman's size and they send that instead. I have to order Anvil in a size that wouldn't fit in AA. It may not be a big possibility, but it could happen (and I would be the one it happens to). Randoms will be a nighmare as long as there are AAs around.

I've helped save some shirts from time to time (cough*UnNinja*cough), but Nevermore was not one of them. As Woot is running out of asphalt AA blanks, though, it may get a new lease on life with a remix.

FWIW, here was the reckoning discussion two years ago. Some things don't change ...

I have the same problem with the Anvils that I had with the AA - inconsistent sizing between different COLORS. Of course, the biggest discrepencies show BEFORE washing, but since I always wash on cold, there is little to no shrinkage. Some colors seem to be cut bigger than others.

What ElanKat was getting at is the HUGE size discrepancy between AA and Anvil; they differ by almost two sizes.

Someone ordering a WS in Anvil, but receives an AA, will find their shirt way too small. Likewise, someone ordering a WS in AA, but receives an Anvil, will find their shirt way too big.

i would guess that "they're too short" is listed as AA because they still are on AA in some sizes. they may still have more AA blanks in those sizes, and will be printing on them for "air quoth." so as long as you're one of those sizes, your shirt might be AA. what are those sizes? who knows, but not 2xl.

At this point, if I can't be certain, I'm not going to order it. There's less disappointment that way.

Someone ordering a WS in Anvil, but receives an AA, will find their shirt way too small. Likewise, someone ordering a WS in AA, but receives an Anvil, will find their shirt way too big.

Indeed. The only thing that would come close to fitting the same would be the length.

Next week's competition will be tough, but it looks like it will manage to put in a showing if it keeps it up these last 27ish hours

I'm so happy to see my kitty climbing, it's nice to know he isn't zombie fodder yet. Hopefully he'll keep on surviving I even made him a button.

Air Quoth sales weren't what I expected. Guess our theory of an Edgar Allen Poe museum buying up these raven shirts didn't pan out.

I was really thinking this would be the week that all seven of the new guys were going to be safe. Looks like we'll have at least one raven reckoned soon.

Yeah, so there's that...

killerorca, it looks like we all forgot that the silver blanks exist. Wanna update your color list?

I've been updating my original post every day, but in anticipation of the Reckoning, I figured it was worth bumping to help folks make last-minute decisions.

Monday AA update: shirts on AA

Robot Side Sale, short-sleeve shirts:
Let's Play (men)
The Power of Giving (men)
The Sex Drugs (men)

Robot Side Sale, long-sleeve shirts
- all shirts

Reckoning Shirts listed as printed on AA:
- Hungry, Hungry Games (kids)
- 1971 (all sizes)
- ProCATSination (women)
- They're Too Short (men) [exception: at least one 2XL on Anvil]
- Lucky Pig (all sizes)
- The Start of Spring (all sizes)
- Binge (all sizes)
- Family Breakfast (all sizes)
- Da Bird (all sizes)
- Family Portrait (men, women)
- Nyan's Dream (men) [CHANGE: kids listed as Anvil, no longer AA]
- Hang in There (kids)
- Free Hugs (men, women)
- Honest Packaging (men, women)
*********
- Honey Badger Cares (kids)
- Really Scary Xenophile (kids)
- Artichokey (all)
- The Formula for Success (men, women)
- Air Quoth (men)
- I Love Cats (men, women)

Note: there's some speculation about the number of royal blue and slate blanks remaining; if you're interested in a shirt printed on either, double-check the sizing guide and order sooner rather than later!

RIP A.A. Blanks (Obituary)

Honey Badger Cares (only sold 43 shirts in last three days) and Fire and Ice might not make it either, but both will at least put up a fight.
