Above each derby entry in a yellow phrase that says "I'D WANT ONE." Click on the phrase to cast your vote & once your vote is cast it will turn into a red phrase that says "TAKE IT BACK." If you accidentally vote for the wrong entry or change your mind, click on the "TAKE IT BACK" and it will turn back into "I'D WANT ONE."
Well, your biggest problem can be found at the bottom of the page: "Only users who have made at least one purchase at any Woot site may vote in the Derby." Once you've done that, then the "I'd Want One" toggle will appear next to the designs.
I have to admit...I find myself kinda frustrated with the execution of this particular derby theme. There are a lot of entries, several of which are doing quite well, that either aren't actual historic events or aren't actual animals. I see a lot of portraits of famous figures...I see some allusions to general time periods...but few of those illustrate an actual event. Is this a case of reading the derby theme too closely? "History" is defined as famous events that occurred pre-1970. An actual historical "event" really does seem like it should be the focus here.

I agree!

I agree. But I doubt the Rejectionator does.
No Mooses parting the Red Sea? I am disappointed, and completely unable to draw.
I agree - overall the derby hasn't gone the way that I imagined it would when the theme was announced. But, heaven forbid you actually speak up and say something about entries very, very loosely pertaining to the theme.
So.. who won!?!?

Which designs, in your opinion, actually seemed to be well done and on theme with animals re-enacting history?

Though it's not a shirt I would wear, I think the best one was Semper Fido. It really captures the spirit of the derby. I was disappointed (though not at all surprised) that it didn`t come in first. That being said, I really wanted one of the First Flights to make it, but knew fairly early on that wasn`t going to happen.

I'm saddened that neither Pip-Squeak and Semper Fido made the top 3. They're both excellent examples of the theme, and Pip-Squeak is a master class on half-toning for shading and subtle color tinting.
I'm sad that Flapper didn't print. That bird's expression was so joyful it brought a smile to my face. Editor's Choice, please, Woot? On AA please?? ;)
