Re: Cheese Pyramid
I likes the gray.
Re: e=mc2
A Dinosaur as Albert Einstein when he came up with the e=mc2 formula First entry was an unfair rejection as this is a Dinosaur and Dinosaurs are Animals.

That depends on what canon you want to go by. Depending on the story, he is either a dinosaur, or a dragon

This is awesome! Great idea . I just voted
Re: Giraffe Franklin
this is really fun -- nice work!
Re: First Flight, 1903
Awesome!!
Re: Semper Fido
. Great picture
Re: Electric Eel
If you squint it kinda looks like him. ;-) Thanks guys! I had a more serious design in mind at first then I realized it happened post-1970 and so I had to switch today. Goofy is always my fall back position. Heh.

QFT. At first glance it got a snort, but upon closer inspection I'm giggling enough to make my husband wonder what on earth I'm looking at. GMV, awesome.
Re: Moooon Landing
Udderly ridiculous! ;) Couldn't resist.
I would buy this. Truely.
ciaralee wrote:I don't understand the second blue one, is the shirt supposed to be wrapped like Kirk's alternate uniform?
Is it supposed to be the nurse maybe? As seen here? http://blogs-images.forbes.com/carolpinchefsky/files/2012/03/StarTrekCast.jpg
Re: Jack Rabbit the Ripper
...jack rabbit the ripper and his last victim mary karrot... (ok, probably good that we COULDN'T use text...lol)
Whee!! Makes me feel like I want to go fly with him!
Creepy!
Re: Where's The Cheese?
Great details on the mouse suit and a well composed scene leading your eye back to the earth and the landing craft. Plus I have a soft spot for line work in colours other than black when they are done so effectively. Cool stuff Patrick.
This is so well done, but I have to agree with the poster above - he's seriously creepy!!
Gawd I want to cry over the cuteness!
When I saw the rules for this derby I was really hoping someone would do this scene :D
midgerock wrote:where is the front left leg of the easel?
First thing I thought as well...
The 'frame' is a little jarring but this is a really sweet design!
Reminded me of Muddy Mudskipper and then this song popped into my head. Now I have a strong compulsion to watch Ren & Stimpy while listening to MGMT.
Re: Pip-squeak
Very clever and so well executed portrait of the Empawrer.
Re: Titanic Amusements
Quirky quality that appears to be hysterically accurate to me.
ciaralee wrote:Poor redshirts. I like the idea but I'm not crazy about the Peeps. I don't understand the second blue one, is the shirt supposed to be wrapped like Kirk's alternate uniform?
Pretty sure that's the strap for a Tricorder.
escapecar wrote:Pretty sure that's the strap for a Tricorder.
Yup, yup. Had to have something to differentiate Bones from Spock...
Re: Going Down With the Ship!
Awesome. I like how you used the margins on the paper to accent the boat under the grasshopper too.
rockymike wrote:This reminds me of Jabba the Fluff (which I just got in the mail yesterday). Like that one, I love the color and the art style. You've got my vote!
The colors are pretty similar to jabba the fluff. I didn't realize this until I was finished with the design but I decided they worked anyways. Thanks for the kind words.
midgerock wrote:where is the front left leg of the easel? also the turtle on the stool appears to be more to the right of the easel and his pencil should be to the edge, not the middle of the picture its drawing as it is now positioned.
So true...
Sweet work, Rad. You really nailed the 3d construction of the cat too, unusual angles and it all looks great.
Radscoolian wrote:You should make a 3D version. Then woot could charge an extra 5 bucks for the shirt.
Nah, the 3D version always comes years after the 2D version. Look at Titanic, Star Wars, Lion King, and Beauty of the Beast.
Re: Leonardo
I was totally going to do Michelangelo painting the Sistine Chapel...but this is even better!
Re: Flight of the Kiwi Brothers
Kiwi bird - SO CUTE!!! APPROVE
Re: make copies, you silly cats!
This is great. Why the clown attire?
unimusic wrote:This is great. Why the clown attire?
I think perhaps it's Elizabethan garb?
So nice! In creme it fits better but this is a great choice too!:D
mrchia wrote:That depends on what canon you want to go by. Depending on the story, he is either a dinosaur, or a dragon
Technically, even if you go by him being dinosaur, he's still a fictional species of dinosaur (ie Yoshies).
Cantatus wrote:Technically, even if you go by him being dinosaur, he's still a fictional species of dinosaur (ie Yoshies).
Agreed. At the end of the day it is a video game character, yes a breed of dinosaur, but still a video game character. Undoubtedly it is Yoshi given the Bob-omb and Super Shroom on the chalkboard. I really like the shirt, but I don't see how it is an animal in the strict sense.
inkycatz wrote:I think perhaps it's Elizabethan garb?
They are ruff collars, though I am now in doubt that they would have worn them during Gutenpurr's time... soooo I might pull this version and redo it but we'll see if I can muster the motivation what with the low votes and all :P
Re: Teddy Roosevelt
I like your bear, but I think the damage to the script is too subtle for people to see easy.
