lol, Uranus! Clever, clever.

Though in the wake of that, I should add that it is properly pronounced "Yer-uh-nuss"

They all look like they're having so much fun!

Earth looks a bit like it's getting a little warm.

That artist description made me chortle because it's TRUE. Noses must not be conducive to extremely adorable anthropomorphicies.

by the way, insta-buy. I can't resist kawaii planets splayed across my chest.

See, Pluto is again not in the race (aka considered a planet). Take that!

Reminds me of The Black Hole by patrickspens - http://shirt.woot.com/friends.aspx?k=14799 - but this is a lot more cheerful!

Legitimate curiosity, something I've wondered about while lurking here for the past year or so.

Why do most of the t-shirts on shirt.woot look as though they've been illustrated by the same two or three people? Is it chance? Or catering to what wins/sells? Or do a small set of artists win regularly? Dungeon sweatshop in Woot HQ with shackled artists prodded by sharp sticks?

This must be why I immediately bought this shirt! My favorite shirt.woot shirt is The Black Hole, and in fact this seems as if this shirt is the prequel, you know before the sun collapses in on itself and eats all of the planets.

Now I have a good excuse for spending my money on this shirt so frivolously!

There are a lot of regulars to the shirt.woot derby, and a lot of the weekend wins do come from them, for a full scope of the most printed you should check out shirtwhat for all the nifty stats about most printed artist and artist history.

Hahaha, I did not even think about this being sort of a prequel. Love that idea! (even thought the Sun is present in patrickspens shirt)

a Walmazan sighting is always a cheerful thing; the planets really do look like it's recess and they're having a blast.

Even when he gives them glasses.

I do love that while it goes with the kawaii factor, there are small details to add to the fun that sometimes goes missing in the cuteness approach, just no noses.

It's the Powerpuff effect! - no nose or ears to detract from the eyes and the mouth. Which probably explains why I'm a fan of Wences' style.

The science doesn't work either. Even if our sun somehow collapsed to a singularity (for which it's not nearly massive enough), its mass—whence its gravity—would not change; it wouldn't suck the planets in any more than it does now. ☺

I always love Walmazan's distinctive designs. They are clever, funny, original, and always bring a smile to my face.

And sometimes Walmazan's designs are a bit cheeky as well.

Congrats on the print!

No, no - you're thinking of the dungeon sweatshop in Woot HQ that houses the shackled writers prodded by sharp sticks.

Supermoon tonight. Don't miss Moonrise.

Meteor shower also. Best on East Coast just before dawn, most likely.
