wootbot may have had a little too much to drink at yesterday's woot.staff BBQ, so here's a thread to discuss the grilling-themed aprons, totes, and tees available in this week's side sale: King (and QUEEN) of the Grill.

Sale ends June 4, 12AM CT or when quantities run out: black aprons look especially vulnerable! (As of 05/30/2012, black aprons are indeed sold out.)

Thank you! Especially for the QUEEN part! I feel much more included now.

I'm not sure all the size charts are correct, so don't count on everything being listed as AA actually being AA.

Some shirts have a broken link for the size chart.

I'm glad they're fixed. However, I got really excited last night when at first it seemed like most were on AA. I thought Woot had actually listened to us asking for at least an AA option on reprinted shirts. Now, THAT would have been a change to celebrate!

As always, when there's an apron sale, I have to complain about the absence of Kitchen Warfare. I know that this is more outdoor cooking themed (which is why I didn't include Makin' Bread in this rant) but Kitchen Warfare can be for all tactical cooking purposes.

Kitchen Warfare was on an apron once and I'm still really sad I missed it. Wil Wheaton's shirt is the only other old design I still want. I somehow missed it all three times it was sold.

I am super stoked on being able to get the Cthulhu in shirt form. I bought it as a pullover hoodie when it was for sale a while back, but I rarely wear hoodies that don't have a zip, so I don't get as much use of it as I'd like. I'm so happy I could kiss the world destroying cook!

I figure I have to own the shirt considering that I was at a wedding yesterday and this girl had a crazy tattoo. I sidled up to her and asked if it was supposed to be Cthulhu and it was. She was excited someone 'got' it, for once. Yay nerds!

I couldn't resist I Like Them on the Grill. Green Eggs and Ham remains one of my favorite books. Plus, being on AA was a deal-sealer.

I can't get beyond the thought that this method of noting which size is printing on AA makes it sound like the shirt is actually an exhaustive guide to cuts of meat of kids' bodies, with adult bodies obviously having different cuts of meat. I am seriously amused by this thought.

Me too! I went to school within walking distance of Mulberry Street and I'm tempted to buy several shirts and arrange an extended family picture at the Dr. Seuss Memorial Sculpture Garden. Slightly concerned whether so much orange might break my camera.

Aww man, I was really hoping if something like this came about, they'd reintroduce the Kitchen Warfare apron. It would've been doubly awesome since I just bought an AK-74 last week...

I like the Venn Diagram one, but not quite as much.

Aw, man, I just missed out on the black aprons by a few minutes. I was really hoping to score that unicorn with a steak on its head. I suppose I'll just have to grill without protection this summer!

Is Unicorn Steakhouse on AA? The sizing chart says it is. But we haven't had asphalt on AA in ages... so I'm not inclined to trust it.

Thanks, Narfcake. There are some other discrepancies with the listed sizing charts and Neuro's list, above, too. For example, "I like them on the grill" is now listed as printing on Anvil, as well as "Some BBQ," but in Neuro's post, they are AA.

Can a staff person please confirm which shirts are actually on AA now?

Since confusion has been the order of the week, slight additional clarification: yesterday afternoon, the sizing charts were reset to what they looked like at 12:01AM Monday morning ("posterity list" below "corrected list" in that post); those sizing charts did not list "everything" as being on AA, as viviankb noted.
