It probably is. I see four kings: a wolf, a lion, a dragon, and a stag. These are the arms of Houses Stark, Lannister, Targaryen, and Baratheon, the four houses with the strongest claims to the titular thrones.

Considering that the iron price is to kill someone with the shirt and take it from them, the enthusiasm on display for doing so is kind of unnerving. If I wear this shirt, I apparently will need my own sellsword at my back.

For those dismissing it as a book OR TV reference, yes, it's both. And if you're concerned about depraved violence, yeah, I'd stay away from it. There's lots. It's not the heart of the show/book, but it's there.

I don't envy ste7enl, because there's almost no way to make the perfect shirt here. Targaryens should be a queen, Baratheon would look neat with a hammer, maybe there should be a kraken, etc., you really can't win. It's a very cool design that rewards a closer look, regardless of how each fan would have done it just a bit different.

Very cool to see a Game of Thrones shirt. But I can't help but wonder if the title could've been "We Do Not Sew."

During the Clash of Kings (Season 2) there are five lords who have claimed the title king.
Joffrey Baratheon, Lion & Stag Sigil
Stannis Baratheon Stag & Heart Sigil
Renly Baratheon Stag Sigil
Rob Stark Dire Wolf Sigil
Balon GreyJoy Kraken Sigil

For a Clash of Kings design I would have chosen 4 of these sigils. Probably drop Renly because he dies during this book and his sigil is present in his brother's and his cousin's.

If you wanted to add House Targaryen, with it's three headed dragon sigil, it wouldn't make much sense to have a king. At this point the only Targaryen known is Daenerys. Maybe have the Targaryen's represented with the queen of spades in the background.

Those are some good ideas. I'd like to see what you come up with.

I haven't seen the show, but the books are brutal, though I wouldn't say they're any worse toward women than toward men (or kids of either gender, for that matter). Given your triggers, you probably should avoid them, yes. I like them, but they still make me twitch some, and I don't even have any trigger-worthy experiences.

About the shirt: Very, very tempted. It's a piece of pretty, for sure.

Just ink. I believe foil/metallic inks were attempted but it wasn't possible.

Really classy G.O.T. design, but a short-sleeved tee seems a bit reckless given that a certain season is approaching.

Yet another shirt I would own if it were still printed on an American blank. I wish Teemagnet didn't show shirts from here....just pisses me off, but oh well, I'll stick to my guns. No more Woot purchases. Thanks for raising the prices, then lowering the quality of shirts.

Beautiful design... too bad it's a pop culture ref -- if it wasn't, I'd be in for two. Both my boys are supremely into slight of hand card tricks right now; they'd love this.

I'm really surprised that so many Wooters are in the dark about A Song Of Ice and Fire. But prune juice references are apparently common knowledge. Also, maybe the dragon card represents Viserys? Just sayin'.

Until the TV series came out I thought of it as a literary series or a very strategic board game (Game of Thrones (Second Edition)).

Fortunately, the board game isn't your typical book/TV/movie trivia or roll-the-die game.

Just like the series it's a complex game of subterfuge, political maneuvering and military engagements.

GOT is not pop culture. It only seems that way because HBO turned it into a series. That said, I'd rate the novels and series R so this wouldn't be the best options for kids.

This pays homage rather nicely IMO to GOT. But within the artist's conception of a deck of cards featuring the key houses. If the intent was to portray the five kings, this would be a fail, but that's clearly not the goal.

Yes, this could be a reference to the books or the show, but my mind immediately went to the latter because it reminds me of the opening credits. The "Game of Thrones" title logo at the end shows four animal heads: dire wolf, lion, stag, and dragon, one in each corner. Beautiful design, and the only GoT shirt I've seen so far that I've immediately wanted. Well done!

I'm also surprised by all the comments here, especially since they are in reference to the HBO show. Read the books, people! I haven't seen the show, but am eagerly awaiting the sixth book. Looking forward to curling up with it and a nice glass of warrior's drink and a bowl of gagh!

Also, yes the books are violent and the language can be rather crude at times. It's not misogynistic IMO. It's just brilliant storytelling and characterization combining fantasy, politics, sex, war and plenty of surprises.

As others have said, I would have bought this if the Dragon card was a Queen instead of a King.

I minor change that would have made it better.

I don't see why everyone is all like "Oh! Mutating Goodness Greyjoy and the Kraken!!"... Who said this shirt was only specifically referencing to season 2? Robert overthrew the Targaryens, Lannisters somewhat overthrew the Baratheons, and now the Starks have to overthrow the Lannisters.

Here's an idea. Those who want to "pay the iron price" can all get together and meet on the tourney field and fight it out. I'll even pay for the shirt, but they have to stream the video during the next Woot-off.

It was almost an immediate buy, but then i realized that the Targaryen was a King and not a Queen. Making it a queen would have been perfect, imo.

Oh well, i'll probably still buy it, i just need to think about it a bit.

Touché. I'd enlist, but unfortunately, tourneys aren't really my style. More of a hit-and-run kind of guy. Maybe you could send the shirt to some fisherman's village along the coast?

Sorry, but not quite... there are the regular four seasons, but autumn and spring are very short like usual because they're the transition seasons. I'm reading the books and the ironborn often talk about autumn storms and such. Also, it's only been about one decade since the last winter, but it's kinda snarky to correct you on that.

It's totally game of thrones. You should watch it...if you don't mind thinly veiled softcore pornography on HBO. There's also a freakin long book series. AND DRAGONS!

I just noticed something ELSE about this shirt, which continues to grow on me. The stag looks like it has a lightning bolt through the middle, which is very appropriate for the lords of the Stormlands and Storm's End.

But no Kraken... no love for the Ironmen?
