Accordingly to woot, this issue should be addressed via PM with Gatzby instead of discussed openly. Clearly, woot is continuing to sweep this incident under the rug instead of addressing it. I am most surprised that woot is apparently willing to discuss me behind my back with other customers. A week ago, I would have assumed that a corporation would adhere to a nominal code of ethics, at least, that would prohibit such doing, but woot has made it clear they do not abide by any set of ethics if those ethnics are inconvenient for them.

Several people who have publicly expressed support for me mentioned to me that they PM'd Gatzby; so far, none have heard back. Has anyone heard back from Gatzby or is woot merely ignoring those customers who have publicly called woot out on their shameful behavior?

I have remained mostly quiet in this thread since my initial posts to it; I had hoped that this could be resolved amicably. As woot is clearly assuming that silence, opaqueness, and time will make this incident disappear, I suppose I must accept that woot is not interested in accepting responsibility for its mistakes. Therefore, less quiet and more information tomorrow - but first, some sleep.

RIP A.A. Blanks (Obituary)

You know I'm in your corner on this one, but I need to be fair to Inkycat here. That read like boiler-plate copy-paste for "I am not authorized to mention any moderation" more than a comment on your specific situation. Definately a post made of fail, but it's a macro fail rather than an ethics one.

This has been their m.o. since as long as I have been here. Welcome to woot. I would bet the more talky you get the more deletey and probationy they get.

Um, my post here is gone now too. Isn't that ironic in a thread about censorship?

Yeah, you posted quoting a troll, or responding to a trollish post, therefore expunged.

I'm surprised she hasn't been probated yet to be honest, she seems a little obsessed and is trolling this forum outrage all over the place.

There have been times in the past where I couldn't make 2 "ramyb is a thief and/or hack and here's why" comments in a day without getting scolded and sat in the corner for several days.

Woot has always reserved the right to edit and delete posts and this has always annoyed people. Yet, we get away with an awful lot sometimes too and I have seen far stricter boards in other places.

The response from Gatzby there was wonderful. "Screenshots are preferred" when making a complaint. Well, I didn't think to get screenshots of what goldenthorn or inkycatz said in the reckoning thread and now they're gone. I did, however, relay to neuro what was said in them because she deserved to know how woot mods/staff reacted.

Woot, just because we can't see posts anymore doesn't mean that those who read them have magically forgotten what was said. Or in this case, not said. Inkycatz, it was appalling that you completely ignored your role in this situation in your response. The lack of any semblance of an apology was outrageous. The ongoing disrespect being shown by woot in regards to this situation is ridiculous.

Are you sure they didn't slip off to the 2nd page? I see two threads on shirt quantities there. That should cover any need for discussion on that topic.

People getting butthurt and flounce-y over butthurt?

It's official, Woot has completely jumped the shark, backed up and reversed, and jumped it again. [eyerolls]

Also, a ban from POSTING is just a preemptive modification of everything you thought you were going to post. They're still letting you in, letting you read, they're just editing your posts, before anyone else can read them.

I think that's pretty approp. After all, wanking is more likely to get results than the petition.
