A less than savory character's account at some site I had never heard of until fellow artists brought it to my attention:

http://www.shirtcityclub.com/GB_en/-dc23236edfcf76e533aecd9598ee675d-/designer/chicco

I'm assuming there is a means to contact them to take it down, but just thought I'd let the people with the axes go after the heads... ... blooood.

EDIT: and this one, and probably lots more. A hive of scum and villainy etc etc.

Interesting.

Their FAQ states they won't print copyrighted material, yet here they are.
What's more interesting is their process. Someone earlier mentioned that the stolen images were too small to print, but the site vectorizes them for print, thus restoring scaling accuracy. So there you go.

Ah, I see the site was mentioned in another thread. Hopefully woot has looked into it. I did notice some designs that were never printed derby entries, so I guess prolific artists like walmazan have one more site to add to their list of places to scorn.

Yep, I guess that explains the ease with which people/sites can steal. I didn't see anything on that site where you can report stolen images.

It really would behoove woot! to start watermarking the images so that they are effectively unusable. It doesn't really help with prints that come from derby entries, though...

Watermarking won't help. The watermark would just be deleted as an extraneous object in the vector program of choice.

Oh. Being not too familiar with vector programs, I will take your word on that. Then I guess there's not much woot can do other than continue to use their army of lawyers.

Think about it like tracing paper (that still exists, right?). You trace the parts you want, and leave the parts you don't.

When you're done there, can you send the lawyers after these people too?

You can report ebay items. They'll take it down. probably means a lot more coming directly from woot, but I reported it anyway, just in case.

I think that one is different enough from the one we sold unless I'm not remembering this one. Pls correct me if I'm wrong.

Both are egg and bacon skull and cross bone designs. One is over under, one is stacked. One has a nose one doesn't. I'm this seems more idea theft than image theft, we'll leave it to the lawyers to say who owns an idea.
