Re: Goodbye Earth
This implies a very probable future for us. Awesome message! I love it!!
Working in the medical field, this is PERFECT for wearing under my scrub shirt.
How was this not printed? It is actually one of the best shirts (art work) I have seen on any entry. Would vote 100+ if I could.
Re: across the mocha way
Considering I live on coffee, I must have. Very cool!!
Re: Web Of Deceit
Even though I am severely arachnaphobic, I would proudly wear this. Love the deceit!!
Re: No Quarter Given
One word...sweesome! Okay, two words mashed...sweet and awesome!! :-)
Re: Trees by Joyce Kilmer
Re: Astronomical Geography
Every shirt I vote on, I cannot understand why it wasn't in the top 3 of their derby. Gorgeous design!!!
I NEED THIS SHIRT!!!!!! - java addict
Must have Must have Must have!!! Very intricate design...love it!
Re: The Game Is A-foot!
I so cannot understand why this did not make the top 3 in the 'board game' derby recently. This is exactly what the derby was all about. The pun is truly awesome and makes me wanna play 'A-Foot'
Settler Cats is so cute!! I want to buy this shirt!
Re: Cakes and Cubes
How is this not in the fog?
I was bummed this didn't get on a shirt last time. Here's hoping this time it does. Love it.
rasabi wrote:As this was for the poetry derby, here is the poem that it was based off:
The Writer by Richard Wilbur
In her room at the prow of the house
Where light breaks, and the windows are tossed with linden,
My daughter is writing a story.
I pause in the stairwell, hearing
From her shut door a commotion of typewriter-keys
Like a chain hauled over a gunwale.
Young as she is, the stuff
Of her life is a great cargo, and some of it heavy:
I wish her a lucky passage.
But now it is she who pauses,
As if to reject my thought and its easy figure.
A stillness greatens, in which
The whole house seems to be thinking,
And then she is at it again with a bunched clamor
Of strokes, and again is silent.
I remember the dazed starling
Which was trapped in that very room, two years ago;
How we stole in, lifted a sash
And retreated, not to affright it;
And how for a helpless hour, through the crack of the door,
We watched the sleek, wild, dark
And iridescent creature
Batter against the brilliance, drop like a glove
To the hard floor, or the desk-top,
And wait then, humped and bloody,
For the wits to try it again; and how our spirits
Rose when, suddenly sure,
It lifted off from a chair-back,
Beating a smooth course for the right window
And clearing the sill of the world.
It is always a matter, my darling,
Of life or death, as I had forgotten. I wish
What I wished you before, but harder.

Re: Veg of the Day
I know that's a carrot, but I can't help thinking that the green stalk at the bottom is gas.
gingembre wrote:Even without the poem, this is such a great illustration of the struggle of writing. I love it!
I really hope this wins. I've wanted it since the poetry derby!
Re: Overactive Imagination
This is so like my husband's cat (in personality, she's black and white) that I had to laugh! I love the expression on the cat's face! It's the same look our Ocha makes before she goes for our toes.
Re: Les Plumes Tombent
I Love this! I would love to have it!
I'll take one now!
Re: Inconceivable (V2)
Oh, oh, oh my God, yes. Love it.
I was more heartbroken than the astronaut is when this didn't print the first time. Let's not make that same mistake twice, eh Woot?
I love the colors here - I really want this shirt!
Re: He Shot First
This is a fantastic design.
This is fantastic! I'm surprised it doesn't have that many votes.
Re: Moonlight Sonata
I am a huge music lover and this shirt Rocks! I would love this shirt!! Good Luck!
Re: spring symphonia
I love it! It's beautiful! Good Luck!
I was checking this out, then it hit me! I felt instantly sorry I want this shirt!!!!
I want this shirt. I wanted it last time and I want it now.
I don't work in healthcare, but I am type O and I work with copywriters (of whom I like to poke fun).
Re: Anyone Out There?
This is so incredibly adorable!!! I SO want this!!! :-)
Adorable! I love the little bunnies.
Re: Springtime is for lovers
Okay, I removed the picture in error. But I still love the little rabbits on this one. What a fun design!
Re: Trojan Cat
Ha - this one is fun. I would get one for my mother. She catches mice and gives them to the cat to eat.
I think some of the other ideas are great on paper, but this shirt will have more appeal to everyone that sees it. No long-term staring or thinking required, this one makes sense right off the bat for passers-by.
