Why don't Side Sale shirts have discussion threads like normal shirts? Not super annoying, but since sales data is now contained entirely in the Discussion thread it's making tracking sales data for side sales tough. ...

Almost next to impossible, I'll say.

As for whether they'll beat out the editor's choices ... that has yet to happen, and I doubt it ever will happen because you have plenty of Wooters who are too cheap to pony up those few extra bucks.

I know they'll never match Day 1's sales, nothing ever does. But take Pip Squeak for example. We have it at 26 sale ATM, 15 of those during yesterday's Woot-Off. Surely these shirts have sold that many?

Remember, 515 (IIRC) was the best one ever, but 500 is a TOP finisher in the Reckoning most weeks.

EDIT: Even our best selling shirt ever The Binge only does 405 a week, on average.

514, actually.

Here are the sale results to the last Mentions of Honor. Compare that to that week's reckoning ... and you be the judge.

Oh man Woot! Thanks for posting 8 of the shirts I most wanted over the last few months, it's been a disappointing dry-spell with none of my favorite's winning! BUT why did you have to do it all a once? Now I'm broke for a bit...

Don't know whether I should cry or go wait by the mailbox with my hamper until the shirts arrive...

In most side sales, however, the top seller has been closer to 150, with the average being well under 50, IIRC, and plenty of shirts selling 20-40 copies. How many Reckoning shirts sell that few shirts in a week?

(Here are the closing figures for the first side sale whose name I could remember, if you want to compare.)

Utterly misleading statistics that just serve to confuse this discussion. I'm surprised, Narf: you know better!!!

Not only are you including both "Side Sales"/"Woot Plus" and "Special Event" sales (the latter of which generally sold much better compared to the former), but you're including all items when we're discussing t-shirt sales compared to t-shirt sales. The fact that the "Some Motivation Required" pullover hoodie sold 738 items and Roots Rock Poster sold four items tells us nothing about t-shirts.

I believe the top t-shirt seller in the weekly Side Sale/Woot Plus format is Darth Meow (514), which is the only Side-Sale/Woot-Plus t-shirt to have sold more than 500 copies. Of course, it may also be the only side sale shirt with both a cat and a Star Wars figure on it...

I don't have figures for the most recent side sales, but from the percentages on the sales stats charts, it appears that Dead Man's Chest Remix sold about 33 and The Ninja Pandas vs the Diabolical Pirate Octopus Unisex Tank Top sold about 12.

Surprised j5 didn't max out the limit of 15 on that tank... BTW, I pulled starting numbers for Around the World and the closing numbers are now available. Is this the part where my vow to stop pulling numbers breaks down and I volunteer to do it?

I've been having a hard time finding the Shirt PLUS shirts, I only checked the forum again randomly and said "Aha! Here it is!" Last time I had to search the name of the shirt I was interested in to find it.

I just bought Energy Efficient. It shall be my first purchase of an Anvil shirt so I will finally know for sure which one I prefer.

Sorry for the late reply. I did, indeed, get through. I ordered 'Universal Fun,' 'He Shot First,' and 'Energy Efficient.'

I sort of love 'Ninja,' 'Velociraptor With a Raygun' and 'COFFEE!' but these all being printed in one week really bones me on this one.

I hope you like it I'm ordering my copies now

For those interested in numbers, from what I've been able to come up with I think I'm at around 250 sold so far. I came up with that by extrapolating that I think I only sold 2 in its first hour and 1 in its second hour. Using those numbers as a base line I calculated about 52 sold in its first day. Mondays sales are about 21 percent of total sales so approx 250 total so far. Now I may be completely off on these but I think they're in the ball park. They also seem to be in line with the last sale especially considering it came in a close fourth in its derby.

My boyfriend rolls his eyes at my shirt.woot addiction, but when I showed him the "Energy Efficient" shirt he laughed, and said it was a cool shirt. That is rare praise coming from him.

Thank you! I just bought my first shirt in months...When I Grow Up is in one of my favorite colors AND on AA. Besides the obviously cute design.

On the plus side, I haven't needed to buy a second dresser to contain my former woot shirt obsession....

See if any pop up for trade on teetrade.org.

But it is unlikely as this was a timed event of previously unprinted designs.
