I have no idea if the dye will stick to the ink. But I do know that many artists us the shirt color for a seventh color. So even if the ink only sticks to the shirt you may negatively effect the design.
You might try a tyedye thing to keep the design away from the dye, but that would cause an uneven circle of yellow around it.
