Bye-bye doctor, hello wooden boy!
Oh man, I've always wondered what would happen if Pinocchio did this. Glad I finally got an answer to the age old question. Can we find out if god can make a rock so big he couldn't lift it next?
Been trying to post this for ten minutes! Get your act together Amazoot! Love the puppet, but I feel like the paradox was kind've phoned in. Not that I've got a better paradoxically dis/honest sentence at hand, but still. A better paradoxical statement or a no-text version of this shirt and I'm in for one, but the text lacks poetry and ultimately puts me off the shirt.
What? Sentences are a lie now too?! I was always taught that the cake is a lie! But ... aren't you a cake? BOOOOM!
To much cake.
The cake is a lie!
This shirt is awesome. I know I gotta buy a shirt if I stsrt laughing as soon as I see it. This one's a definate "gotta have" shirt . I think I must have at least 25 Woot shirts or maybe even more now. Woot's got a good amount of my money especially after this last Wootoff. I read where some people were complaining that it was a dissapointing Wootoff but I certainly enjoyed it. I've only been a Wooter since about March or April so maybe that has something to do with it but I found a lot of stuff I could use & some stuff (like the Screaming Monkeys) that were just plain fun to score. Thanks Woot or should I say that since I'm so broke now. :~]
Huh, I don't get it... Brain fried from reading research papers. I'd say something about cake, but others stole my thunder. Mmm, now I want cake.
Wait wait wait wait. Hang on. Here is the explanation.
Disappointed, Woot!. You totally missed an opportunity here to let Detective Jack close the dialogue with a cheesy Horatio Caine line, complete with sunglasses and musical background scream.
What if pinocchio said.. "My nose will now grow?"
I wish the wording were a little simpler, like "I am lying".
Liar's Paradox The shirt references a classical logical paradox of self reference. The "is a lie" part is in no way a reference to Portal, but as the art shows, is a reference to the fact that Pinnochio must tell the truth. Very witty and well done. Good job, apelad

This.

This blew my mind. All hail pinocchio? Woot Mods, I beg you to quality post tomcall!
Without punctuation, it's not a proper sentence, so maybe that's why it's a lie. Pinnochio's nose exploded in vain.

Agreed, one of my favorite tees in recent memory. I'm a little surprised to see some people aren't familiar with this reference.
This sentence is false... which makes it true... which makes it false... which makes it true... I get it!
haxrox wrote:I wish the wording were a little simpler, like "I am lying".
Exactly my thought..just like on classic Harry Mudd Star Trek episode

Thanks! I hope I've expanded some horizons and helped cure some insomnia. Pondering this dilemma is a great way to fall asleep.
Next time, a little authenticity: Interior. Night. Jepetto's room. A candle flickers as Pinocchio breaks the silence. PINOCCHIO Sup, bro... etc...
Obviously Detective Jill hasn't read very many original versions of fairy tales. Scary stuff....
Ah, thanks for the clarification all. It makes sense now. I did say my brain was pretty fried last night. Reading sentences about phonons and wave vector equations all day tend to do that. My mind is fresher today.
This shirt gets funnier every time I see it.

Wow, you're not a seaweed bag
ow my head hurts from this shirt... guess that happens at the end of the day when thinking too hard about it
I hit the road for vacation and what do I nearly miss? An awesome Ape Lad shirt. Nice work as always and congrats on the print. I love the startled expression on his face. He should've seen it coming.
Oh wow! Now that I get what it's about, I love this shirt! I have to admit, I had no idea. Thanks for the enlightenment.

and This is a brilliant shirt: I love the philosophical implications of the Liar's Paradox (great topic for older kids and younger adolescents, BTW: they really get into it) and this is a fantastic visual representation of it. Nice work, ApeLad!
