Any way of getting facebook to post the new shirts at 1am (EST)? I've missed probably the last 2 weeks of shirts because facebook hasn't put anything on my wall from shirt.woot. They need to make it where we can manipulate the algorithms better. Any ideas?

I haven't checked every day of the last few weeks, but for many of them I have noticed that the shirt is posted to facebook not too long after it's displayed on shirt.woot. Sometimes there's a delay, but nothing super terrible. Perhaps there are issues with facebook or how you configured news feed settings?

Facebook has altered the display properties of your wall to prefer those people you interact with most.

Because you do not share links from Woot, comment on Woot, send messages to Woot, click on Woot's game posts, etc. etc. etc. It's devaluing Woot for your wall.

This is a MASSIVE problem across the board that's been widely panned among Webcomic artists. Especially since about 3 weeks ago Facebook started showing stats for how few Users you were actually reaching (current numbers are 3-20% of all people who 'liked' you)

There are a couple of fixes for it if you look around, Best fit for the CURRENT issue are go to Woot's page, hover over the LIKE button and you should get a drop down menu. Make sure "show posts" is checked. You can also create a Custome list, and add Woot (and any other 'likes' you want to see every post from) Then check that custome list daily.

A LONG (2 years) time ago, they made another change limiting the number of people you'd get updates from. The 'default' was about 100. I used to fix this on the menu at the bottom of my news feed. good luck catching that to see if it's still there!

Yeah, the algorithm's weird and doesn't really work for people who want to routinely see our deals pop up at midnight CT. The percentage of our followers who see any of our posts is somewhere around 16-25%. I've seen some success in liking or commenting on some of the posts on the page you want to see.

The algorithm is needed though, as most my friends (who seem to pay very little attention to net security) have somewhere like 300 friends and 250 or so liked pages. Even if you only get 1 post a day from each of those that's a post every 2.5 minutes. Those power users out there who are in the 4K+ ranges, getting 20-30 messages per person per day, the System has got to be choking on that.

Thanks for the explanation. I'll try those things. Also, I put @wootshirt on my Twitter acct. I'll see it there.

I have Twitter ship @wootshirt tweets to my cellphone so if I'm away from the computer, I won't have the what won the derby suspense causing static.

Facebook is not really designed to be used the way it's being used.
There is something that was designed for it though, it's called RSS.
