I have Defector Vapos, on the shirt originally. But I didn't think anyone would appreciate it. Translated it would be close to steam punk (Vapor Rebel).
Should I sub a V2 with this? Or without any words...

With all the derivatives of pop for this derby, this is the only one I can vote for so far...and my son will cry if this doesn't print. (of course, he cries pretty easily, but he might actually mean it this time.)

Re: In Joss We Trust

I'm fairly sure that I don't even need a real write up for this entry...because really either you know Whedon...or you've been living under a rock for the last 20 years!

This man inspires in his fans a loyalty unmatched in almost any fandom. Between Browncoasts, aspiring vampire huntresses, and the most recent incarnation of amazing superheroes, it's no wonder so many are swearing fealty at his feet.

Here's the big one!

Re: The Dead Walk

"Where's Carl?" Lol. I'd love to own this shirt.

My favorite quote from the comics:

"I'm so accustomed to living in the moment, day by day, not looking ahead, not looking back... I was blind to how difficult that makes life." ~ Rick

We currently have 18 non pop cuture options, which frankly is way better than I thought we'd do. And 4 of them are FOGGED. 20 and 6 depending on how 'pop' lol cat images are. This is probably the coolest of them though.

Re: We Are Villains (V.2)

Updated text & motto, worked with a better font for legibility. Also took the concept in a SLIGHT shift in intent.

I feel it's a stronger design and more likely to print, (if i can get past the bloody chibi factor).

Thanks.

Re: House of Slapstick

I've been watching a lot of the classics lately, and thought the pioneers of film comedy needed to be honored. I think the contrast between base humor and a stately crest is funny.

So the Latin translates to "Another Fine Mess" (lit. "Another Superb Disaster"). Note the laurels and hearties around the shield. Hardy-har-har.

I'm sorry for those who thought I tried to avoid the theme. I thought it wasn't so specific. I first though of nobles and all that stuff, came up with the idea....and didn't read it carefully. I have no complaints for the rejection I spent a bunch of hours on the design, but that's not an excuse.

Best of luck to the other designs :D

Re: We Are Villains (V.2)

The hair is a nice addition. I wasn't sure what was missing from the design before, but the updated title and "motto" really bring the design together. Worth the resub, I think. ;)

I'll get to it.

First of all, your Google Latin has a typo. You meant Hiems Adventum, which is not correct either. It should be Hiems (or Hibernum) Adveniens.
