...besides AA. I already know of them, lol.
I'm gonna make me some shirts. Maybe one day people can buy them. Not like... tomorrow or anything. Probably later than that.

p.s: Yes, I did Google it myself. I found a few that seemed okay, but maybe there are more? Hmmm?

Being on the east coast, look into Royal Apparel instead. They tend to run less than AA, though from what I've heard, their logistics isn't as smooth; a big deal if you need them by the thousands, but probably not so much if by the dozens.

Platinum Sportswear in Georgia makes nice union-made shirts. They are not ringspun cotton though. They're more like a standard Gildan or Anvil shirt in cut and feel (not the Anvil model that Woot uses). Nice though, and quite inexpensive. I pay under $4 each shipped. Probably the cheapest domestic shirt you'll find.

A.S. Tees makes most of their shirt domestically. Most everything is ringspun cotton. They have a ton of women's styles which are cut like AA. I love their organic cotton shirts for men and women. A little pricey, but the cheapest domestic organic shirt I've found. It has a nice trim cut and super nice fabric. They don't have a lot of great domestic Men's options, but their Men's import shirt (7001) is awesome for the money. Super soft and slinky - nicer than AA, and cheaper too. Those are made in Haiti (usually).

Stay away from Bayside. The sleeves are really long and goofy. I can't wear them. They almost come down to the elbow. Maybe the women's are OK.

Royal's good, but not much different than AA in styles or price. They're kind of the East Coast "me too".

There's also Sun Apparel which has some sort of US/Mexico hybrid manufacturing. US fabric sewn in Mexico? I haven't used them.

Oh yeah, Anvil just started making a shirt in the US called the American Classic Tee. Imported fabric sewn in the US. Haven't used it. I know Anvil has a bad ap around here, but I think they are a good company with good products.

I haven't done any new research in 2 or 3 years. I'm sure there are more out there somewhere.

They've been a pain to order from (I'm in the dozens camp) and they discontinued some of the stuff I used to order from them. They used to have these awesome hoodies that were made in Canada, and then one day I get them and they're made in China! I'm kind of over them.

Ah, glad to see someone could help. I thought I had seen something about American made shirts a while ago, but can't find it now.

Look, more East Coasters!

But, wanting to see her print her own shirts, I hope she does...I would buy them. I love the kitties!

Hmmm.... well, in that case, any issues with Bella/Canvas? Many of theirs are imported, but the 3001u and 6004u are USA made (Los Angeles). Not sure on their pricing, but it's what Threadless is using nowadays for blanks.

I didn't know any of that ^. I don't use them much because of price. Most of their stuff is $6+! Same with Alternative. I want to use them, but most of my customers don't want to shell out the extra loot.

But there shouldn't be problems with Bella/Canvas, because most of those shirts are sold through distributors. Like I get my AA shirts from Commonwealth Cotton in Boston. They're cheaper than buying direct from the factory, and it's a 1 day ship to me in NY.

The smaller companies like Royal or most of the ones I mentioned aren't carried by the big distributors like Broder or Bodek & Rhodes. When you have to order direct, there can sometimes be problems, like any small business.

Thanks, guys! I'll take a look at all of those, especially Commonwealth Cotton for AA shirts. If they're really cheaper than factory that'll be a good deal.

Jensen Apparel has several different styles all made in the USA with USA materials. Not sure if the cut/fit/feel or whatever will be what you want, but I have several that have held up very well over many years of wearing and washing. They are located in Virginia.

Good Luck printing your own.....can't wait!!!
