Re: Revenge Mouse
I can't see it
Re: The Mrowr
Cute title and cute design! I hope it prints
Re: Hamsterdance!
I wanted this one soooo much. ;_;. Woot, please HM it so it can have another chance! <3
Re: The Creation of Nerd
Why does the nerd look like a DB?
Re: Heiresgryphics
I generally think this is an over done theme but i really like your angle. +1
Re: Cubist Invader
This is awesome. I'm scrolling through the entries and see a space invader, I had to click on it to confirm it wasn't just what I was seeing. Good luck, hope I get to wear one of these soon.
i can haz burger? OHMIGAAAAWD!
bassanimation wrote:I wanted this one soooo much. ;_;. Woot, please HM it so it can have another chance! <3
Boo hoo! Thanks for the nice comment. Do I still have a chance this derby, or is it all over but the crying? By the way, my son's hamster Ham-Ham was the model for this shirt. He was not clothed for the modeling session however.
I think the colour choices make this distinctly not Art Nouveau, but I'm not an expert and I don't really care. Interesting design.
manikx66 wrote:so im gonna vote on this design for one its very pretty and i like foxs. two its not dealing with Nyan cat or internet connection like 6 of the nine in the cloud designs.
I see 2 Nyancat, 2 Dial-up, 1 I-can-haz-chezburger? cat, and 1 Speedycat. Also, Firefox is a web browser that lets you connect to the Internet... That's pretty much "internet connection" isn't it?
Re: I Like Mondrian
Unfortunately, on first glance your design is flipping me off... not something I'd want to wear... sorry
alazzar wrote:Well, let's just say I wouldn't recommend ordering Neverwhere so long as it's on its current color of shirt. You'll be lucky to see the raven, let alone the words. (It's basically just a grey shirt.) That being said, Woot's got great customer service and helped me with my problem, but still; I can't in good conscience recommend the shirt to anyone. (Which is a shame, because I loved the design.)
I agree about Neverwhere. No one could tell there was anything on the shirt unless I was standing in bright sunlight (something that doesn't happen often in Seattle). I'm pondering "accidentally" washing it with a little bleach to see if that helps.

Don't you mean Kandinsky?
just trying to figure out the shirt color to be sure
Re: Goin'Ham
Am I going crazy or is this quadruple posted? You might want to go delete the extra posts so it doesn't spread your votes out. Also I like Seuss as an art style but if there's an internet reference here I missed it.
Re: Rebecca Couldn't Sleep That Night...
NOOOO now the song is in my head ;p

Yeah, does seem to be quadruple posted. And I would also agree on the lack of an internet reference. I haven't spotted one yet either.
Re: The Golden Age
Too many cats and cheese burgers, I'm hoping this makes it.
Re: FAV me please
I like it, but its the opposite of the Derby's intent.
going HAM means going Hard As a Mo'fu' i thought this was a rap/hip hop reference
Re: Cat Devouring His Cheezburger
I'm surprised by the lack of votes for this great design.
Re: Robot Unicorn Nouveau
Well done! I want!
artguyaaron wrote:thanks for the comments, this is not actually done in ASCII. I digitally "painted" the image in solid colors and then reduced it down over a page of 0's and 1's (i thought binary would be appropriate) to make the completed image, I hope people and the moderators realize this is more than just a text image. thanks for all the votes and comments
You might get bonged over the text only.
It took me a minute to see it, but when I did I was immediately impressed.
zooliea wrote:Yup: see here for woot's own ruling on it.
or see here instead: http://shirt.woot.com/offers/nyans-dream You know, much newer, placed in the derby, got printed?
Thirdbase9 wrote:You might get bonged over the text only.
i'm keeping my fingers crossed, this piece is done in the spirit of ASCII and not just text itself. I was trying to combine the look of ASCII with the feel of Impressionism using the 0 and 1's as my strokes. It seemed a natural marriage.
Re: 404
You need make some changes or this will get rejected. First, this design is not on a shirt template. If you need to find one, there are several on the page where you submitted this entry. Second, you need to change the header on the window shown in the screen shot. Woot doesn't allow any woot references on derby shirts, unless specifically requested for a derby. Good luck!
Re: Internet Art History
Detail View for a closer look.
Re: ASCII Night
Love the design! I now want to translate the binary code, I wonder what it would say. haha
Re: Dial-Up!
This is awesome! You can do it robot! <3

Opps silly me! I thought he had an L! Thanks for that!

I guess I can no longer delete it, so I'll resub after I wake up with the necessary changes! Thanks for pointing me in the right direction, much appreciated!
Re: What the foxtrot?
The idea came late but I liked it enough to persevere. The style comes from 30's WPA posters. Hope you like it!
Re: Surreal Dream
comes from the inspirational art of salvador dali (surrealism)
Re: Troll pop - RESUB
Maybe. The aim of the bubble was to make still more recognizable the work of Lichtenstein but obviously something went wrong and do not like too much . In any case, thanks for your comments ;).
Re: NSFW
This shirt also screams, "Hey employer, I may not be the best person to have around the office."
sodalite wrote:going HAM means going Hard As a Mo'fu' i thought this was a rap/hip hop reference
Fair enough... rap/hip hop still isn't internet though XD
daledreams wrote:comes from the inspirational art of salvador dali (surrealism)
Internet related how?
Any one of the individual parts of this shirt could have been a winner on their own. Together=EPIC In for a couple of these!
belhambone wrote:I love it, but you guys have to soften the edges. You don't want it to look like an iron on design. A little tweaking and this would be perfect.
Good gawd.
