I'm a little lost as to what everything is on this shirt. I get that it's all Joss Whedon. I get captain america, Firefly, and buffy, but the rest? Someone clue me in?

YAY A shirt I must buy and then explain to everyone what the hell it means, just like all my other Woot! Shirts.

I think Alien: Resurrection in the bottom left. Not sure about top right though.

Changing the title of the shirt is infuriating. It took me far too long to understand it.

The Goggles are from Dr. Horrible (a great movie that you should watch, especially if you have Netflix) and I think the top right of the crest is Titan AE, which Joss Whedon was involved in... I think.

He script-doctored Titan AE (and Alien Resurrection, IIRC).

Noxy here, and, I know he didn't have the HUGEST involvement in Titan AE, but it was one of my favouritest movies ever and I had to include it. Its his work, it counts!

No offense but why in the world would you include Alien 4? That movie stinks. Everything else on this shirt is great, but that seriously might keep me from buying it.

I know it would have been a lot of brown, but somehow I can't help but think this should have been on a brown coa..er I mean shirt...

and oooooh, that helps explain why Titan A.E. was so awesome. Also, yes, Alien Res was ridiculous, I'd recommend watching it with the knowledge that Whedon wrote the screenplay and you aren't supposed to take it seriously. Then it rocks.

I think I may just have to get this if for no other reason than Dr Horrible. One of the best things I've ever seen. I need to be a good little fan and finish watching Firefly someday.

I'm personally thinking the same thing, I would have preferred a Toy Story reference instead. Absolutely LOVE the goggles and color scheme and everything else though.

Happy. Just yay! And why the hate for Resurrection? Three already ruined the series anyway, and come on, Ron Perlman.

That write up makes me so happy. Someone gets it! That's right folks, the way to make a good female character is to make a character instead of a stereotyped, 2-dimensional plot device. I'm glad at least someone in the movie/tv business gets that.

Dr. Horrible was written during the writers strike in Hollywood. He was just goofing around because he had nothing else to do. Who writes a musical just because they are bored? The man is amazing. I just wish there was a dollhouse reference because it was really good too.

I might have better enjoyed a ref to Black Widow *because* of Whedon's strong women, but Cap's shield was probably the most recognizable symbol to pull from Avengers.

Whedon is one of my top heros in entertainment media. Just amazing. I need this shirt in my life.

How do you NOT remember Jayne wearing the silly hat? The one he got from his mom in the mail.

That's absolutely Jayne's hat. I'm not super familiar with Serenity but I knit, and the "Jayne hat" is a very popular pattern.

"the message". Also, if I remember the bonus features correctly, the last episode filmed. When they knew for sure that they were cancelled.

"war stories" and "out of gas" are by far the two best episodes. IMHO

Edit: comic con my dimpled hiney! Why would I go to a convention in one building when I can go to Dragon Con! A convention in DOWNTOWN ATLANTA. The ENITRE Peachtree area of Atlanta. Five con-tels, all area hotels, AND the streets. Five days of AWESOME!!!! They even open the Peachtree Center Mall, a mall that is normally closed on sunday, for us!!!! Atlanta also closes the roads for our EPIC parade on Saturday. Always ended by the throng that is the 501st!

Got no idea what order they were filmed, but "The Message" definitely isn't the last episode on the DVDs, and as far as I can tell from the internet, it also wasn't the last one broadcast.

I didn't say "last aired" or "last on DVD. I said "last filmed"

Fox aired them out of order. On Friday. When the target audience was out on a date. Stupid Fox.

The first episode of Fringe, when moved to Friday night, (see above) was named "The Firefly". They knew they were gonna be cancelled, too. See the symmetry?
