If I got this correct, there should be a lot of significance in each of these shirts ...

(I do apologize for not owning The New Guy, so I went with the next closest.)

In any case, if you have 8 minutes, 33 seconds to spare ...

------------------------------
A long, long time ago
I can still remember
How this website used to make me smile
And I knew if I did the math
That I could solve the Monday wrath
And maybe place the ranking on the dial
But these six months made us riot
The new switch, we won't buy it
Bad news in the forum
The imports, we deplore them
I do remember being fried
'bout shirts we loved, now pushed aside
Betrayed, we felt, to U.S. pride
The day old Woot shirts died

So, bye bye, from the nerdy shirt guy
The turtles and the bunnies, and the cake and the pi
Robots and zombies, flaming ninjas, oh my
This’ll be the day the shirt dies
This’ll be the day the shirt dies

Happiness is peace and love
With clouds a puking, from above
If the artist draws it so
Now, do you believe in those halftones,
Using lines or just some dots alone,
Gags, and puns so bad they make you groan
Well the colors are a very bright
The contrast makes it just look alright
You voted with a clue, and lovin' that shading and hue
I wish the derby-ists the best of luck,
And hope they fog and then win some bucks
Prints on new shirts, well now that just sucks
The day old Woot shirts died

I started singing, bye bye, from the nerdy shirt guy
The turtles and the bunnies, and the cake and the pi
Robots and zombies, flaming ninjas, oh my
This’ll be the day the shirt dies
This’ll be the day the shirt dies

Now, for five years, we've been growing strong
With some big hits, and some lazy bombs
But that’s just how it’ll always be
We hit upon a major snag
When art got lifted by some thieving bag
The artist, begging, pleading "what? who me?"
Oh, and while our tastes varied by our mood
Some intents are mis-understood
But fear not for today
‘cause tomorrow's on its way
And while the monster kept on in the chart
A wise cookie shows he’s very smart
A robot plugs, and powers up his heart
The day old Woot shirts died

We were singing, bye bye, from the nerdy shirt guy
The turtles and the bunnies, and the cake and the pi
Robots and zombies, flaming ninjas, oh my
This’ll be the day the shirt dies
This’ll be the day the shirt dies

Okey dokey says the artichokey
A grim turtle being quite slow pokey
And the fruits are getting mad
It's breakfast time with dear ol' dad
The rainbow's reading is pretty sad
With the pixels, singin’ dancin' who is "Bad"
A pun was born from a fork and spoon
While a mouse feeds right off from the moon
A bat sleeps by the light
Sandwich zombie takes a bite
As the paper burro rests up and heals
The bunnies are eating some meaty meals
PB, jelly, banana peels
The day old Woot shirts died

We started singing, bye bye, from the nerdy shirt guy
The turtles and the bunnies, and the cake and the pi
Robots and zombies, flaming ninjas, oh my
This’ll be the day the shirt dies
This’ll be the day the shirt dies

And there was tofu’s multi- face
A black hole, gobblin’ outer space
An astronaut kicks off the ball
So, come on, sell today, and sell a lot
Sell like lighting to a robot
‘cause Monday’s when the weekly reck’ning calls
And as the ref'rences fly off from the page
Escape key makes a break from the cage
A bird recites poe’try
And antlers from the tree
And as the bear was in an angry mood
The monster consumes monster food
A cupcake dances ‘round in the nude
The day old Woot shirts died

He was singing, bye bye, from the nerdy shirt guy
The turtles and the bunnies, and the cake and the pi
Robots and zombies, flaming ninjas, oh my
This’ll be the day the shirt dies
This’ll be the day the shirt dies

We ventured around the message board
As we prepare to cut the cord
We really wish it wasn't so
A few of us still stuck around
With the love we had, now broke, unwound
As we left here, heading out to see GoodJoe
So in the end, this sorrow day
We saw what's left that's USA
The tumbleweeds were blowin'
Not much was left for showin'
The imports we cared not to see
It's time for us to say "let it be"
We've had our fun, farewell to thee
Shirt.woot, this is ... goodbye.

And, they were singing, bye bye, from the nerdy shirt guy
The turtles and the bunnies, and the cake and the pi
Robots and zombies, flaming ninjas, oh my
This’ll be the day the shirt dies
This’ll be the day the shirt dies

They were singing, bye bye, from the nerdy shirt guy
The turtles and the bunnies, and the cake and the pi
Robots and zombies, flaming ninjas, oh my
This’ll be the day the shirt dies

Awww man. That was great Narf and you'll be missed, but hopefully you'll still pop in from time to time. I've REALLY appreciated you doing the numbers and all the great comments and support you've given to me and all the other artists. You made Woot a lot more enjoyable for many. Thanks....

Not sure if you should post that? This slightly-nsfw-flowchart will help.

Thanks for all the hard work you've put into following the numbers, Narfcake! Your knowledge of shirt.woot and the support you've given to the artists and the community will be sorely missed.

I comeback from a trip only to find out that you're leaving us Narf? Man, worst way to end a vacation ever.

I'll miss vying with you for that "last wooter" status when there were still AA's to combat over. Thanks for all you've done for the community with the numbers and call outs you've done on quality.

I have mixed feelings about Narfcake leaving shirt.woot, because I think he's doing what's best for him, but I will miss seeing him around the forums, I will miss learning from his knowledge, I will miss the nightly numbers. I... I miss him.

Narfcake mentioned that the shirts he posted had special significance, so in honor of Narf, I suggest that we play name that shirt and figure out what he meant.

Narf tended to identify shirts by both artist and title, so I'm identifying both.
Woot artists' First Prints
1. DoOomCat's 60's Space Girls
2. Lucky1988's The Ninja Pandas vs The Diabolical Pirate Octopus
3. fishbiscuit's Coffee Stain Cats
4. DianaSprinkle's Schrodinger's Cat
5. jasneko's Latern Lights
6. PixelPants' Trigonometree
7. ochopika's Slow and Steady
8. ramy's Two Fish Who Are Red and Blue
9. Walmazan's PAINata
10. tjost's The Binge
11. MJ's Sore Thumbs
12. ApeLad's ApeLad
13. spiritgreen's How Natural Selection Works
14. bassanimation's X-treme National Park
15. rglee's Spring-ATRON R.E.S.U.B
16. patrickspens's DON’T stop to smell the roses!
17. BootsBoots' The Choice Was Not Hard
18. nblottie's Cheddar Power
edited to include Kevlar's identification of the theme and shirt IDs by RockyMike, heyjoie, tjschaeffer, j5, and caramelarrow

Nifty idea - I added that theme to my post.

That's all I've got.

Also added to my post!

I feel like I've seen a few of the remaining shirts before, especially the video-game controller one (#11), even if I can't identify them, but there's also shirts that I can't recall ever having seen before...

A truly awesome farewell post, but sad to see (from someone who mostly just lurks around the Shirt.Woot forums, at least).

Oof but I'm going to miss your presence like woah, good messire Narf de la Patisserie. You've been a healthy, fun, intelligent constant on the woot boards--a precious and rare thing in online communities. I wish you many happy shirtings and good being.

And your lyrical waxery above was very well done. An enthusiastic high-five and an emphatic nod of approval and appreciation is imparted through this comment.

Dear Narfcake,

Your sad song brought a smile and a tear. Well done, sir! I wish you happiness wherever you go or whatever you do. I've truly enjoyed your wit, intelligence, and respectful way of treating everyone in the forums.

I don't hang out much here anymore myself and am truly saddened that I found shirt.woot so late in its life and missed a lot of great designs. I've also lost count of the "ones I would have bought" had things not changed.

Thank you for being a bright spot on the net. Farewell.

Aw Narf, I knew this day was coming but I tried hard to ignore that fact. Now that it is here, a hole has opened in my woot heart that I'm not sure will ever be filled. The forums really will never be the same. Best of luck to you, and may you never run out of shirts.

You got me feeling all nostalgic Narfcake, particularly seeing shirts there by some of the great designers who have been so quiet in recent months. With you stepping down there it is definitely another loss to the community here. I greatly appreciate your hundreds of posts and all the numbers, critiques, encouragement and commentary they contained. Your PM advice when I first printed was really appreciated and still holds true. I'll be looking out for your presence in the shirt community and hope woot give you reason to return.

Enjoyed the song, o cake of Narf. May you be sung welcoming ones in your travels elsewhere.

Also, I think this should be on a shirt:

"The turtles and the bunnies, and the cake and the pi
Robots and zombies, flaming ninjas, oh my" (V neck or tank, non AA wouldn't suit in this case)
