You can halftone over the gold, just don't use the gold in halftones.
Also, don't feel like you need to use it just because you can.

How about that it's a copyrighted character from the Mel Brooks movie "Spaceballs"? I'm sure Mel would get a kick out of it, but I'm not so sure his lawyers would.

This design is adorable, but I wish it were a bit smaller on the shirt. I think big images are unattractive, and especially with all the coins being shiny gold I think it would look a bit garish. It still has my vote though.

Seeing as how the rabbit is using the other limb as a holding device, it would bugs me too much by thinking that the shot off limb is a lucky rabbit hand and not a lucky rabbit's foot.

Actually, I agree that the shirt doesn't need the text.

CFDunbar, you might consider submitting a 2nd version without the text to see how it would fare vote-wise.

Happy New Year! Yeah, whatever, we're a little late, but 2012 IS the year of the dragon. Signifying energy and power, the dragon brings drama and unpredictability to the world (maybe it's his fault we have an overabundance of reality TV?).

Our dragon is made of liquid gold. Coiling, sinuous, unpredictable. Let's hope he brings you a little luck and a lot of good fortune this year.
