For the venture brothers fans

Try as much as I want to like the shirt, the attribution of this to Shakespeare over Tolkien just rubs me the wrong way.

I know before anyone points out, Shakespeare did say something very very similar in The Merchant of Venice "all that glisters is not gold" which in modern plays is rendered as "all that glitters is not gold". I also know that Tolkien's direct quote is "all that is gold does not glitter". So the text on the shirt is not a direct quote of either.

I guess I am frustrated because I really want to like this shirt but am hung up on a technicality and can not force myself to.

Nice to make something new. I can see myself getting back into subbing regularly too, now the derby isn't all about hitting Friday at noon anymore.

And yeah, implied sex is borderline. Woot has let stuff worse than this slide so we'll see.

The goose that laid the golden egg is technically a different joke than which came first: the chicken or the egg.

That said, similar shirts exist and appropriateness make for an apt rejection.

CFDunbar, you might consider submitting a 2nd version without the text to see how it would fare vote-wise.

Sure. With the derby changes I don't mind making these small adjustments and resubbing a second version. I'll have it up in 20 min or so....
