"even the rabbi who writes a column in the newspaper ..." - what does this mean? that other rabbis are usually mean, surly and unsentimental, or other writers are usually mean, surly, and unsentimental, or other people who work for newspapers are usually mean, surly and unsentimental? or all three?

A least you are getting all the absolute worst stuff over with in one day? I'm so sorry TT, take that personal time you told us about in your earlier post. We will be here when you are ready.

Castle mistake....the Hampton's are out, not up.

Out on the Island. Up is upstate, or New England.

Out here, when you go anywhere, regardless of direction it's common to say "up to" Occasionally, you say "down to", but "up to" is much more common. Even though Seattle is practically due West, we go up to Seattle.

I usually go down to my parents, because they are due South and a slightly lower elevation, but up to is acceptable too.

If I were going west, like to Indianapolis, or east, I'd go "over" there. Otherwise it's all "up" and "down."

I'm sure the Suffolk county police will give it worse than that!
They are one of the highest payed cops in the country. That guy is making way more than Beckett, even though she outranks him.

Most cops and firemen don't even live in the city.
I bet none live in Manhattan.

The phone just rang. Daughter had the baby at home. Boy friend delivered it. They are on their way to the hospital. Good grief. Hubby talked to the boy friend . Hubby said he was babbling. I talked to the 911 dispatcher. She said she heard the baby cry and she thinks daughter and baby are ok. Needless to say, we are going to the mountains soon.

Hugs for TT!

Baby was born at 34 weeks. She weighs over 4 lbs. Not sure exactly. She is in the room with daughter for a visit and photo op so maybe doesn't need O2 full time. I don't know about lung development or any of that stuff. She looks great just small.

Congrats on the grandbaby. She must have been in a hurry to get out of there if she was delivered at home.

Hopefully she will have no issues from her impatience and get lots and lots of snuggles!

Her Daddy sounds completely smitten on your facebook post!

I'm stuck home with a sick little boy, not feeling the best myself and Orc just mentioned that he is sticking to water only at work because he's feeling pretty bad. //sigh we can't seem to stay well here.

My granddaughter got engaged today to a very nice guy that she's been dating for five years. She said it would be a couple of years before they get married. I hope so. That will make them mid to upper 20s. And since they just bought a house last month, by that time they'll have a good idea of what money means.

They bought a house, then got engaged, then in a few years will get married?

//sigh

The entire generation is nuts.
Housing here is still too expensive, so that isn't a combo I've heard of.

We are just hoping that there will be marriage before babies.
