other than that this is an awesome picture!!! B^)
Asian dragons do not have wings. They have long serpent-like bodies and depending on their origin, they have different numbered toes. As this is appears to be a samurai warrior, I'd assume it would be of Japanese origin. If that is the case then it would have three toes per foot. As it flies toward the west it grows toes. That's why Korean dragons have four and Chinese dragons have five. (Traditionally.)
Though this one is not showing us its feet.
Re: The Fox is Staring at Me
LOL Whaaaat?? XD This isn't a terrible design to be fair, but way too big :O
genghisjon wrote:Hey, you are getting more votes than me! I'm a rookie here - so do you find that it's the designs that get submitted earliest that win more often? Just curious.
I consider myself a rookie here also. I've only been sumbmitting designs for around four weeks. I believe that submitting early helps but doesn't warrant tons of votes. I sent this design in as soon as they were accepting and as you can see. It wasn't very well recieved. From what I can see the voters really like cutsie things and pop culture. Just keep trying and chugging along. That's what I'm doing. Plus I enjoy doing this and it adds to my portfolio... Cheers

Please let me know if you end up printing elsewhere!
Thank you all! I know choosing a white shirt was risky...but I tried with a black shirt and I liked this much more... Life isn't fun without risks!XDXD
This is awesome collin!! Perfect camouflage!:D
Love this collab! It is just great!:D
I think I first met this character at the beach derby and it's just lovely!
This is so stinkin' cute
Re: Industrial Tea
I hope it prints!
Super tight line-work, as usual.
Nicely done, Lucky
Re: Nature Owl v2
Very cool, chump. Just the right balance of symmetry and broken symmetry. :^)
Thanks for all the votes and support everyone! It's nice to be back :D

Re: A Breath Of Nightmare
Thanks for the advice, guys! Honestly, even 30 votes was more than I was expecting. This being my first entry into a derby, I was just trying to get my feet wet. I have learned a bunch about how the system works, though, and how to improve my chances and my work. Good to be noticed at all! :D
Re: click b click a click n click a click n click a
Greatness!!! I seriously need this one...
Oh my gosh ..I LOVE this! I hope it makes it; so so cute
Re: The Last Dragon Hunter
For a second I thought that was General Iroh from Avatar.
Great design! Definitely getting this if it prints. <3

Terry Pratchett's insurpassable Captain Sam Vimes of the Ankh-Morpork City Watch answers the question with, "We watch each other." Your shirt design reminds me of this hilarious character, marvelous book, and genius author! Well done, and thanks
I first encountered it in one of Robert Heinlein's juveniles: Space Cadet.
runnerfrog13 wrote:Given the steampunk nature of your design, I'd go for something like a golden yellow.
That sounds like a good option to me. Whatever the choice, it definitely needs better contrast. I like the design a lot, but would never buy it in its current incarnation.

I find this site quite humorous... not even a good sounding board for creativity.... go to teefury or design by humans for true artistic appreciation ! Just saying.... truth be told !
Re: Metamorphosis (Black)
So was this inspired by the cover of Computerworld, September 10, 2012?

Heya!! This is just a silly little suggestion, I know, but if you're going to have multiple alt accounts replying to each other (at least three so far, right?), I would suggest at least trying to change your writing voice for each one so that it isn't so obvious you're the same person.
Cheers and good luck!

Will do, thanks! I appreciate the compliment.
Re: summer it's going no where
How do ya vote?! I want to vote for this, but I'm not seeing any... "vote" button, or anything.
coldzro wrote:How do ya vote?! I want to vote for this, but I'm not seeing any... "vote" button, or anything.
Heya! Sorry, but the reason you don't see any vote button is because this derby is over. The first place design is actually for sale as today's daily shirt.
Derby submissions and voting begin at noon (U.S. central time) every Friday. Submissions close the following Wednesdays at noon and then voting closes Thursdays at noon.
To find out more about how the derby works, please read the shirt.woot FAQ.
I'm kinda upset this didn't print. I had my card ready.
Patrick, I hope you submit this design again to other qualifying derbies!
