I love this shirt, I am just afraid of how it would look on me, a woman. Sort of seems like it might be a bullseye.

Hey, you name it whatever you want to name it. The design is great and your cross-hatching looks awesome. I would love to have this shirt.

suzer22 wrote:I would love to hear the story of your collaborative process!

Well sit yourself down and get comfortable.
Since the first Revolving Door collaboration we have used a site called Stixy that enables everyone involved to upload images and files to a shared page, and then add comments like post-it notes.
- Initially a page was created to suggest and comment on possible design ideas.
- Anthropomorphic instruments was a favoured idea and Spiritgreen suggested a piano quartet, so he got the easiest one to draw as a form of reward.
- A new Stixy was created where we posted draft sketches, research, title ideas and shared our secret hopes and fears, much like you would in a private diary.
- As each person's first character sketch appeared it instilled panic in the rest as we were challenged to match the quality. It also helped to iron out issues and ensure the four parts worked together.
- The first finished character was actually completed an hour after the derby started and the last one came in about twelve hours later. We clearly need a project manager.
-Various mock-ups for different layouts went up and discussion occurred over colour choice and the all important title. Decisions were made based on general consensus. We had tears a couple of times and only one punch was thrown. This didn't really matter much because two of the team are in America, one in the UK and one in Australia.
- This is what we learned:
Boots learned how to tell the difference between a violin and a viola (You'll have to ask her)
Spiritgreen learned how to draw 'goofy enthusiasm and a lack of class'.
Tjost discovered that knowing how to draw blue furry puppets does not make it any easier to draw stringed instruments.
PixelPants learned that lack of sleep and being out of his designing depth can't diminish the experience of working on such a dream team.
Thanks for listening. Story time is now over.

mjc613 wrote:Would you mind posting a closeup of part of this drawing so that we can see the crosshatching?

At this level, it looks like a drawing that was passed through a filter, and woot has rejected several entries for that.

Naaaa, no filter here dude, just texture on a regular made illo. But your remark is funny since 90% of the subs should be rejected on this basis, since they are also regular line work, not true "cross hatching" technique. Taking note of that, I thought I'd give this illo a chance. CHeers and thx for commenting. V.

I tried to address all of the concerns brought up on the original version, hope you guys like the outcome. I also wanted to say thanks to everyone who critiqued the original and helped me make the design better

Probably not on votes but it has a better chance of printing now than ever with the new selection rules.

Thanks so much!

California Condor facts:

Adults stand 3 1/2 fett tal with a 10 foot wingspan!
They prefer to glide, and seek out high perches so they don't have to flap their wings.
They are a prominent part of Native American stories.
They are prone to lead poisoning from bullets due to their extremely strong stomach acid.
In 1987, there were only 22 California Condors left in the world. Thanks to a breeding program at the San Diego Zoo, there are now 400 birds, half of which are in the wild.
