If I may. This isn't immediately recognizable as a sesame street/big bird reference. At least it wasn't to me, but then again, I had to look up the reference to even see that it was topical, so...grain of salt.

The color and organization is perfect. the killer? The lower left corner of his mouth sticks out too far and makes the whole thing look off. Otherwise? a DAMN fine design.

I also had to look it up (only to discover that Creationists *could* be stupider than I thought) and now must also give it my vote. I'll be happy to explain it to everyone who sees me wearing it!

While this is my absolute favorite design in this derby I don't think it's going to get past the rejectionator due to the "No proper nouns from creative works" rule. If it gets rejected and you rework it to fit I will happily vote again.

I do agree with keeping "geology" in large print, and changing "college" to "Dept. of" and maybe also dropping "new england" as previously suggested. With those few changes, I would buy this shirt in a heartbeat! I love the concept!!!

Yeah, I'll be honest, it had to do with my changing the color of the Trident from Dark Blue to Gold. When it was Dark Blue it meshed together well, and it wasn't until after I submitted everything that I noticed it. I hope people don't think it detracts too much. She is pretty stylized to begin with..... maybe she just has really tiny hands....

I think this week's rule clarification wasn't due to public domain or not, but rather a desire for completely invented names. So this wouldn't help unfortunately.

Still, it's a very appealing design, I was immediately drawn to the green Cthulu. Maybe you could invent a different name, such as Apocalypse Academy (ok that was a dumb example, but you get what I mean?)

Fun take on the fighting mascot logo. I'm trying to figure out if it's on dark gray or black? The shirt is gray but the detail is on black...
