It's a play on the word "Physics" to go with the picture.

Ah. Wow. Either it doesn't play well or I'm getting old in my old age. I suspect the latter.

I didn't mean to imply that I didn't enjoy the movie. It's one of my favorites! I remember thinking as I read the book, "This would be a great movie, but HOW could they do it?" Lo and behold, they did it very well. I was giving advice to NPS who hasn't seen the movie (and apparently hasn't seen many popular films) because I think she may prefer reading and I didn't want her to miss out on a fantastic book. As someone who spends a lot time in libraries and book stores, and can't remember the last time I was in a movie theater, I'll always recommend books.

As someone who hasn't watched the Princess Bride, I feel like an incorporeal spirit wandering the halls of Shirt.Woot today.

I also feel like I need to watch the Princess Bride!

I didn't have to buy, you know.

You put away your awesome shirt and I'll put away my wallet and we'll face each other like civilized people.

Now I'm torn, Princess Bride, Monty Python, Princes Bride, Monty Python PB. MP....oh this is a mental mash up that won't end well, thanks a lot Woot for linking those up in my mind now. My subconscious is gonna go nuts now with my dreams.

Ni!

You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.

While I am happy to see so many fellow Princess Bride fans, I am sad to see so many of you don't know the proper pronunciation of Vizzini's classic line.

It's "In-con-thee-babble" to get the lisp just right.

I'm down with Fezziks; I use "Inconceivable!" as my new email sound. It still makes me grin every time I hear it.

Love the movie, but not the write up. Couldn't the clever Woot! staff figure a way around "Let he..."? Maybe "Let whoever..."?

I seriously went "Omens, Monsters, and Goblins! A PRINCESS BRIDE REFERENCE!!!" But in my head...b/c yelling that out loud would just be awkward.

I wasn't wondering, but I had to settle with what I could find. If anyone has a link for the unabridged version I'd be very happy. I might even give away a few internet bucks.

That write-up reminds me. I need to watch more Monty Python.

I believe there is no actual Morgenstern version. The original was by Goldman, who pretended it was an abridgment of an old classic novel to add the the appeal of his book. All the asides and comments within are all staged. But the Goldman book really was written several years before the movie. So if anyone wants to sell you a Morgenstern "original", beware!

I was thinking that the 5ish was average walking speed.

That was the idea^ - walking about 3 miles per hour. But yes, could have done variables as well!
